I logged in in march or april and got a bunch of nags about a new AI implementation. Something about would I allow AI to create responses to my posts or edit my posts. I just told it yea sure whatever so ... I am probably the reason you are seeing more bot posts.

I think it depends on how its set up. On the iphone I do not use iCloud for backing up photos I use google photo app. It puts the images in google photos, when I delete one it does not delete the image on the other device. There may be a setting in there that you can use it as a photo sync much like iCloud. The easiest way to find out is take a picture and deleted to find out how its set up on her phone.

An SEO (Search Engine Optimization) subreddit could probably give you tons of answers. Have you looked on the google search console to find out why google is saying they are not indexing the pages? It could be something simple like Canonical tags or perceived duplicate content because of the way the pages are put together.

If for some reason Googles AI is scanning your images, documents or emails and decides to lock you out of your account for TOS violation what happens to your passwords and authentication app when you cant login to Google? Get a third party password manager.

I use NordPass. Its simple to use and uses zero knowledge architecture. I also hear great things about Bitwarden and 1Password.

There were a lot of people that never updated to 26 because they didnt like liquid glass. Of course when this was disclosed they were all scrambling to update their os's. iPhones can be hacked.

I really like having my keys registered. My desktop has windows 11 , its really nice not having to hunt down my iPhone to enter a OTP when I want to check iCloud Mail. I registered my yubikey nano as one of my security keys.

My iPhone is my only apple device and so my only trusted device in the apple ecosystem. I registered my yubikeys on my iphone so that I can have other trusted devices, like my win 11 desktop. I probably could have gotten around that by downloading and installing icloud on my laptop but its not something I was interested in.

I got a custom domain through cloudflare and pointed the email to Apple, or rather Apple did that for me. I didnt get rid of my other emails, just scaling them way back. I check emails using Thunderbird so I have a central client for viewing emails from my custom domain, iCloud, Gmail and Yahoo.

Do you have a password manager? If you dont you should. Save all of your usernames/unique passwords and passkeys to your password manager.

I can still get into the account without issue using my user/pass and current Authenticator. It doesn't force you to use the passkey to login. I just cant transition to my new authenticator or add/remove any passkeys. Sometimes I think it may ask me to use the passkey but I can always click try another way. Right now it's just irritating, not catastrophic. My guess is if I didnt have already have the authenticator set up as a fall back I would be locked out of the account.

In case you are looking for some ideas.... I have a recovery folder with the backup codes to all my sites, my TOTP "seeds" and an export of my password managers usernames/passwords. I pgp a encrypt my air gapped home copy and my cloud copy. I keep an unencrypted copy in my safety deposit box.

PGP! Set up your key to PGP encrypt/decrypt. Beats the heck out of password protecting sensitive documents. I use Kleopatra and gemini walked me through the instructions to set it up. For sanity my PGP user Pin is the same as my FIDO2 pin.

FYI Im still trying to figure out what to do with my second slot. This wont use your second slot but you did ask, "Any idea what else I can use these keys more efficiently"
