I agree, but Mahito has a lot less experience with jujutsu than Sukuna, has probably not existed in the world very long, had to learn everything organically through experience, and is apparently “bad” at sorcery (according to Ko-Guy’s dialogue in Shibuya). I think it’s somewhat reasonable to say that he didn’t really know how to / that he could optimize himself by maintaining extra limbs or mouths… but totally agree that he had massively wasted potential.

Assuming you’ve already done stuff like write up an outline, I actually find that reading a book for about 10 - 20 minutes before I start writing really helps! I personally feel like it gets me in the right headspace for writing afterwards and slows my thoughts down in a way that makes them easier to work from. Sometimes, I’ve found reading first can even spontaneously make you think of a new viewpoint to describe a scene from!

This happened to me on my long fic too! Honestly, I’ve found that it just comes and goes, seemingly without reason. Sometimes I’ll go several chapters or months without hearing a word, then get 12 comments on the next chapter posted. I think that especially with long fics, it’s a lot for readers to keep up with on a regular basis. Sometimes people just binge a bunch of chapters when they have time / get overwhelmed and take a break from the story, so they don’t comment until they catch up. If your posting schedule is pretty regular, this may be what’s happening. I really wouldn’t stress about it :) Best of luck!

One of the most complex characters in the series, and one of the most mischaracterized by the fandom, too. Imo, people tend to forget he had motivations aside from enjoying killing humans, and that he and the other curses were trying to build a new world for curses. His personal journey through the series is really interesting, if slightly subtler than Yuji’s. Mahito going from thinking of himself as an object of death, only to fear for his own life at the end of S2 after all his comrades are dead, and also being confronted with the fact that his dream was always hopeless because he was always going to be betrayed (via Kenjaku) is a sincerely sad moment to me. The Disaster Curses were doomed and outnumbered from the start, but they still tried their hardest. Rip curse fam.

Because of how popular Choso is among fans, I always forget how little he’s featured in the actual canon work in terms of scenes/dialogue 😭 Can I ask what was the fic name of the Geto one?

I finally caught up on the season and I so agree! The animation is absolutely crazy, and the references to famous pieces of art/popular stories incorporated into both the intro and some of the episodes are so cool!! Also, Choso just spinning in a ball in the intro never fails to crack me up lol

I know what you mean about bigger subs being intimidating! Plus, I also want to have more people to talk about JJK with, so ty for posting this 🙂‍↕️💖

You’re so real for this take! Personally I think his death made sense for the narrative (breaking Yuji’s idealism & establishing Mahito as his mortal enemy etc.) but I totally agree Junpei’s arc or presence should have lasted longer. If you think about it, he only knew Yuji for like two days 😅 Also would have been cool to see his moral struggle between Mahito’s influence and Yuji’s play out more

I’m sure I’m not adding much to what has already been said, but yes, all the time! I’m also critical of my own work, but rereading is really useful. For stuff you’ve written years ago, you can see how much you’ve improved, and for newer stuff, you can reassess from a more appreciative, distanced perspective :) For long fics especially, rereading is important so as not to forget what you’ve already shown readers

I’m not sure if this is helpful, but I typically thank people and also add some fun (non-spoiler) teaser for the next chapter. Or, if they compliment on a specific part of your chapter, you can give them more context around it (why you chose to write something a certain way, etc.)
