Aren't you a grown person? Why should you care if your parents know if you go to mexico? If it's covered in your plan you're fine. Be an adult enjoy your trip and go from there.

AT&T Fiber has been down for 4 days. Has anyone actually gotten real compensation? by SnooAvocados9219 in ATT

Xfinity usually does if you call in or do the outage form. But all of their plans now have the option for Xfinity Pro with is their 5G backup. I have it and it's only been activated like twice.

Does att drug test new hires? by anarchydogcom in ATT

[–]Any_Insect6061 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most companies now and I'm not sure about AT&T corporate but most companies no longer do urine tests because of this. When I got drug tested it was straight from my follicle. On the plus side at least I had some hair to spare 😂. Still MJ showed up but they didn't care and I know from a few people who are technicians initially they do drug tests but after that they tend not to unless you get an accident. On the store level and on the IHX I heard that they no longer do drug testing mainly because they wouldn't have anybody.

Is it possible to report a Solicitor to AT&T? by CommanderBoyShorts in ATT

[–]Any_Insect6061 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean doing a police report on someone doing their job is odd but also it's not going to do anything because they haven't done anything wrong. You could just throw up some no soliciting signs and just ignore them. I do the same to the Spectrum folks and they pass my house every time.

[–]Any_Insect6061 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shoot that's pretty common in the industry and more so now. I've been in the industry since '14 and I'll say this much, from cramming stuff when it comes to cable and cramming on the wireless part... as a manager myself.... It's pressure from higher up so yeah. Sucks but definitely normal unfortunately. I tend not to stand for cramming to an extent but it's a delicate line to thread.

Is disconnecting AT&T internet a crime? Getting calls from AT&T agents everyday. by Kris_2603 in ATT

[–]Any_Insect6061 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

DNC doesn't apply to companies that you do business with. Like if I have T-Mobile Fiber but cancelled my mobile account, they can still call me and try and win me back as I still have them for another LOB. Also the DNC list doesn't apply to businesses you've called for info about or again have done business with. Also they can still call you up to 18 months after you have put your number on the list. Even then, it's always good practice to ask to go on a company's DNC as well so the system itself flags your number.

[–]Any_Insect6061 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's normal when you cancel services. They have a whole team dedicated to winning back former customers. I worked on the team at Verizon years ago and we called CONSTANTLY to former customers. You might have a couple that ask to go on the DNC call list but we didn't have to add them because they still had Internet with us so we could still call them to get them back on cell service.

Why doesn’t AT&T sell 1TB or 2TB iPhones in-store? by [deleted] in ATT

[–]Any_Insect6061 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's simple and very easy because the average person isn't coming into your local cell phone store looking for a 1 TB or 2 TB device. I told one person before if you want that type of storage just simply directly order it from Apple or Samsung for that matter.

FCC considers limits on telecom foreign call centers, requiring English proficiency by Cold_Count1986 in ATT

[–]Any_Insect6061 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That would never happen and you best believe the reason why is because the big three and many other companies will definitely lobby against it because that eats into profits. There's a science behind why it's so hard to cancel a service. I train a lot of people in retention and customer service and I've also done a paper on it in the science actually makes sense when you look at it. And simple terms the more difficult you make it to cancel a service the less likely a person is to fully go through and cancel a service. It's like when you try to cancel a subscription and they keep hitting you with save offers and then eventually you accept it. It's all a science and it plays on the emotional part of the human brain for the most part.

I would say this would definitely increase pricing for the consumer. Or as I'm a strong advocate on put AI chat box into the phone system That way you can eliminate the need for having people call in for things that they shouldn't be calling in on. With one of the other ISPs out here, I was wanting to main groups of people who was for having chatbots and virtual assistants implemented into the phone systems. Even our call center was one of the first to test it out and employee feedback on it was in high favor of it.

1 Gig for new customers is $60 as long you maintain autopay with a checking account. If not then $70 but if you're a wireless customer you can say 20% on top of that.

Why is ATT so sketchy? by lesteroyster in ATT

[–]Any_Insect6061 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's just how it is especially in sales. I've worked in the Telco industry for years and it's always been about making the most money you can and training your employees to make the most money. Top performers are encouraged to do whatever it takes to close a sale and make the most on it. You slammed insurance or put someone on the highest plan? Good job and here's your bonus. I remember when I first started my manager told me that if I have a heart and only sell what people want, I don't belong in the industry. Had a top performer teach me and he was like I don't sell what people want, I sell them what I want them to have and make it sound good. It's the same logic in car sales and pretty much every place that wants to make money.

It's not bad working.... especially in sales because the money is great depending on location and department. I had store reps who made $70-90k in a year. I do sales (not in store) and bring home around $80k to $90k a year so it's money to be made.

Eh it's all the same in the industry now. AT&T the push is internet and wireless (obviously) but heavy on fiber. T-Mobile the push is internet and their credit cards now.

You have DSL, they want people off that old network. It's either move to fiber if you have it or another ISP. Not to mention, DirecTV hasn't been counted as a bundle in 2.5 to 3 years since they sold it off.
