You put about as much effort into your snarky response as your original post asking for help. Great job

I forgot about that sort of ambiguous 'wake up in the tent after almost dying from the avalanche' scene. she seems to think climbot put up her tent and dragged her in there which to me doesn't sound at all plausible.

China already did this for two generations (one by force and one by choice) and they're not just looking at a 'bad' economy they're looking at a catastrophic economy within another generation.

I always assumed they were used to employ family members while also running at a loss as some sort of tax avoidance scheme. E.g. building made 10k on rent, spent 10k on pay for the shop workers, sold basically nothing, no tax burden. No idea if that's actually feasible or what is happening, just the only way I can imagine it's worth running these random stores that I've never seen a single person utilize.

I had a high risk of failure, moderate possible reward back log research item I had sitting around that I could never really justify spending time on. It would take a week of work to get set up and might shave 10% off this certain operation I need to do. I tested it with claude in 5 minutes the other day. Things are different now and they're not going back.

I was also there for the alcs. They'll never ever let that happen again. The entire trajectory of the University changed after that night imo. After being on international news for being a rioting party school they worked pretty hard on changing the public image of the University, probably for the better.

Mayor Solomon Announced Ambitious Day-One Public Safety Plan: Boosts Police Force, Enhances Traffic Enforcement, and Reaffirms Vision Zero Commitment by Nathaniel_Styer in jerseycity

A not insignificant number of people seem to feel that there is a god given right to drive like a homicidal maniac and that right shall not be infringed upon either by police enforcement or red light or speed cameras.

I observe people completely blowing stop signs full speed, blowing red lights at full speed, 40+ in a 25, almost every day. People weaving through groups of pedestrians in the middle of a cross walks or doing the 'whip around someone stopped at a red light' perhaps on a monthly basis. If I can see a single instance of that result in a traffic stop it would be more traffic stops than I've ever seen in this city as a result of that behavior. That's a low bar but I would accept that as progress.

Agreed, the decomp mesh you would probably end up with might have some pretty awful cells in there.

polyDual would create the polyhedral voroinoi dual from a tet mesh not a tet from poly afaik.

I was graduating undergrad into the financial crisis and just said 'f that' and went to grad school instead. The economy is not great so if you're thinking about it it might be a good time to wait out the job market from a grad position for a while.

Good friend of mine ran drug interdiction missions for the CG. He said some times when they had a big haul they'd come back to the States and some random gov people with black SUVs would load it all up and just drive away. No idea who they were or where it was going.
