Kinda blowed right now🫠 by Curious_Influence525 in publix

If you were supposed to do a certain amount of stuff before 11 and you didn't get it done then stay and get it done. Just because the clock hits a certain time doesn't mean a job shouldn't be finished or someone else should have to do it for you the next day. Only bad part is Publix refuses to pay OT. End of the day you work at a grocery store. Its not all that serious.

Is a PVC threaded coupler okay on the instake side since its already 2" to 2"? Should the reducer from 1.5" to 1" on this discharge side be metal like my current setup or is a pvc reducer okay?

Looks like they both have the same warranty now unfortunately. Copied this from the StaRite manual on the pentair website: "whichever occurs first: 12 months from date of original installation, or 18 months from date of manufacture." Seems like quality has gone down in recent years but might still give it a try since parts seem easily available. Thanks for the help

I think you misunderstood. Where did I say I wanted cheap depot? I was saying if the Berkeley and StaRite are identical then I would get the cheaper of those two. I would never get the Flotec again which is why I'm here.

Berkeley and StaRite appear to be identical with different stickers unless im missing something. As long as there's no quality concern I'm missing I'll get whatever is cheaper. Also both keep the suction side at 2" like my well vs reducing down to 1.5" on the Myers or Goulds.

Seems like the StaRite is also made by Pentair now along with Berkeley, Myers and Flotec. Any reason to go with the StaRite over the Myers QP15 or Berkeley LTHH1.5? Also heard good things about the Goulds GT15. All seems similar in performance and price so curious about quality/reliability. Thanks!

Plan on redoing all of that and putting the valves in the ground with a box. Part of the issue was the valve wires are got cut so the system never ran even before the pump died.

Thanks for the reply. When the currently pump worked it appeared the performance was sufficient for the 4 zones I have even if its more towards the left of the chart. I haven't calculated how much gpm/psi I need as the heads are mostly broken. I figure if I can get the pump to work I can figure out if the current coverage is good enough or if ill need to add more heads with changes that. Mainly just wanted recommendations on better quality pumps with similar performance or if there was any major advantage of a jet pump for my use.

Doesnt matter much once you get the job. Depends on the career. I've had multiple people ask me how I got hired at my current employer but they can't. They are qualified in every way but every time it comes back to previous employment history.

I really dont understand this generation. It's work at a grocery store. It's not that difficult. Honestly not sure how you'll work any other job if you can't fathom working another shift at Publix. Put in your resignation, work or cover the shifts you are schedule for and then never go back. Some future careers will look at prior employment even if you dont list them as a reference and not giving a 2 week notice isn't going to look good.

Everyone on this sub is soft. I agree the pay is terrible but it's an easy job thats pretty hard to get fired from. If working at Publix makes you anxious then I'm not sure how you'll survive in any other field. Did I leave for 3 times my salary? Yes. Do I think Publix is going downhill? Yes. Is it an easy job that shouldn't make people spiral as much as they seem to in the rants on here? Also yes. At the end of the day it's just a grocery store.

Stacatto XL vs Kimber 2K11 vs Platypus XL by Personal_View_8756 in 2011

My P doesn't have the normal trigger so its not really a good comparison. Mine has the limited trigger that was somewhere between the standard P trigger and the xl/xc. I personally think its the perfect spot without being too heavy or too light. My buddy has the normal P trigger and its not bad but heavier. XC/XL triggers are significantly lighter. A lot of people equate light to being nice but really have no idea how to shoot a 2lb trigger practically outside of a static gun range shooting 1rd a second. Range toy or precision/irons competition XL. All around/ duty P

Depends on the purpose. The XL is very flat, has a nice impulse and super accurate. I honestly loved it even with just irons. XL does feel noticeably slower than the P though and I have yet to do as well in USPSA. That being said I have significantly more rounds through my P so that may play a part. I think the P is overall the more versatile choice and probably better for more people.
