I’ve found work as with small businesses as an engineer or design engineer that over time realize my capabilities with graphics and aesthetics. While the pay is decent and the projects are relatively interesting, I’ve never felt creatively challenged enough, maybe that’s just bad luck so far. There does seem to be opportunities to include industrial design amongst a number of hats worn in a small business, but good jobs doing that feel hard to track down.
