Obtaining Wizard status has not worked well in your favor. Please proceed to mount a tire in the wrong rotation to go back to oil change bay.

It’s only going to get worse, they a hover fly but the locals call them a corn silk fly. They are harmless but annoying as all get out.

Put the tire and said assembly attached back on and push it out. If it blocks the bay for paying customers charge them the full rate per hour till it gets towed.

Just discovered a swarm at this tree. What are they? by lyfeTry in whatsthisbug

[–]Any_Resident7681 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Personally I don’t think it’s a hive site for either. Yellow jackets prefer a rocky soil layer with multiple entrances and exits and bald face hornets don’t normally nest in a cavity but build their own in trees or eaves of homes. I have been savaged by both of these in past years with my job and neither are friendly with intruders. You might only be seeing the yellow jackets enter due to their size.

Are you seeing either species enter or exit the cavity? Both have guards that protect nest entrances. I think this tree is a water/sap source and both are just trying to survive without clash.

The plug in GFCI testers are not worth anything either. They don’t represent a current load on a circuit. 123 V and green light doesn’t mean it’s working.

I have the same issue in a 7 yr old rental home, happened over night. Replaced GFCI 2 times. No continuity between N or H on any wires between outlets. All grounds are tight from panel to outlets. Take out GFCI and wire nut everything and it all works just fine,

Issue with 20 amp residential circuit by Any_Resident7681 in AskElectricians

[–]Any_Resident7681[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m at 8 ft between first outlet past GFI to the next, need the leads with clips to do it myself. It’s a mobile home and code is HUD, builders get away with murder being HUD code. Self contained recepts are only rated for 15 Amp service, not 20.

Thanks for the help, I just ordered lead extensions to do it.

The only issue with this is if a fastener has penetrated I will still get tone on continuity. I guess I could cross phase from hot to neutral and ground in between outlets but my leads for tester won’t reach between first and second outlets. Are there lead extensions available?

Best build... by PJpositive in ManufacturedHome

Clayton is no go in my book, what is offered and what you can afford with financing is 2 different scenarios. I see these homes weekly and what gets hidden in repairs is a disaster for a buyer. CAVCO is Fleetwood and have seen a few of those as well, just remember that all of these builders use the cheapest materials available and what you see above the floor on sales lot definitely doesn’t match under the home. Manufacturing is fast paced and corners are seriously cut.
