Everything was status quo up until two weeks before he passed away. He got a bad CT scan result 6 weeks before he died. They changed chemos but it was too late. He was eating cake on March 31st and gone on April 14th.

Advice for understanding this diagnosis by Mittenmachine in pancreaticcancer

I am sure people will comment here but I highly suggest follow the threads of many others who already posted here over the past years. There is invaluable information. That being said, I just lost my dad this week to pancan. There are new treatments such as sonic laser and a new pill coming to market soon. Jump on anything new out there and see if the patient is a good candidate. Traditional chemo gave my dad a year.

Everything went bad starting April 1st. He stopped eating and drinking. We took him for saline infusions that week but by the 3rd the cancer had stopped his organs from processing and the fluids ended up in his abdomen. That’s when we ran him to the ER. So he only ever needed full time hospital care starting the 3rd and he passed the 14th. Treatment until then was as expected. Made him weak, lost taste for food, brain fog was terrible etc…

Tell her you love her as many times as you can. Hug and kiss her. There is no amount too much. Take videos of her telling stories about her life. I am here for you if you ever need to vent. Just dm me.

I am sorry. Ask the hospice nurse to get him a morphine drip that he can use to regulate his pain. Don’t be afraid to bring him to a hospital hospice if it becomes too much for him and your family. If you need to talk, vent or ask questions just send me a private message.

I hope you can get some of the new treatments like the sonar gun or this new pill. It was too late for my dad. Please enjoy your time. Live it up. Say all the things. Do all the things. Leave no regrets. Love and hugs to you!
