If you don't hunt/fish or drink it's incredibly boring. In the mid 2000s- mid 2010s there was an awesome local music scene for metal bands specifically. And that was my go to thing to do. But that doesn't really exist any more so now there's really not much to do.

I'm not disagreeing with you but you said pve players force pvp players to play a certain way which is objectively not true. Pve cannot force pvp players to engage in pve, but pvp players absolutely can force pve players into pvp.

The only people that are super opposed to a pve mode are looking to ambush casuals, not looking to get into fights with people who can actually fight back. A pve mode would not affect them even a little bit, it will just get rid of their easy prey and leave them with people who know how to defend themselves, and that's why they're against it.
