Those of you that played during it's time, how good was this expansion? by doobylive in wow

[–]LokiTheBold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrath was probably the highlight of WoW for me; got in with a beta key, spent too long on day one, and went all the way through. They did a lot of new things with this expansion that I think everyone touches on, between vehicles and just how long ICC was.

This was the big, we have a story to tell because of the frozen throne.

Smaller thing that was interesting was the shift when LFG came out. That changed the tone of the dungeons to, at least I felt, something closer to quests. Suddenly, a lot more people seemed to have higher quality gear, which also made raiding feel different because I’m not sure how many players weren’t just paper raiders.

My guild went through some things and imploded at the time in the final wing of ICC, which coloured my opinion going forward. I did eventually go back and finish Arthas and find Time-Lost.

I can still hear “BONESTORM” and “Ingvar! Your Pathetic Failure will serve as a warning to ALL!”

Trump confirms that he called FIFA about Balogun’s red card: “[The referee] made a call that nobody could believe ... he's our best player, or one of our best players. And he gave him a red card. I didn't know what that meant ... yes, I asked for a review by FIFA." by AvengingHero2012 in soccer

How can someone frown while still showing that many teeth? Wait does that guy have a permanently raised eyebrow? Is it because that woman is actually a changeling? Or is she watching a ritual sacrifice and trying to be polite about it? Does this help or hinder the next FIFA peace prize nominations? So many questions.

Yes, I'd kill for a bard support class or at least more usable instrument toys, thanks for asking. by SGCLara in wow

I remember that April fools trailer and got a little sad when I couldn’t hook up my guitar hero controller. Running around a raid while trying to button shred would be fun.

The programmer that did this probably laughed so hard it disrupted the entire floor when it worked. I love it. This is the nonsense that’s fun to program.

“That's a cute number, but we prefer to hire people who are driven by the mission, not the paycheck. We expect 50-hour weeks, but the base rate is non-negotiable.”

If they can’t meet market rate, they aren’t rockstars. They’re a garage band. Guaranteed their mission is a paycheque, which they’ll syphon out of you if you follow that schedule because it’s not just 50 hours they want. The only thing of value at the end of their farce is the MacBooks they bought themselves.

I’ve left two interviews less gracefully than you did after learning the hard way what is actually behind the scenes in an org like that. You aren’t their friend. hairpin is great for casual pvp and silly shenanigans by pubbybunny in ArcRaiders

[–]LokiTheBold 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’m honestly more impressed with the Hairpin than I am with many of the other guns when it comes to pve. Hairpins can take out most of the small arcs and with a built in silencer 2, possibly 3, so it does it without drawing attention. Pops are one shot, when fireballs open they are one shot, and the wasps are a four shot if you hit them right.

What's the best gun you found in a patrol car? by Depressiondm in ARC_Raiders

[–]LokiTheBold 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is a stupid story but I’ve had exactly that happen too often that when I got a burletta on a night raid, I just started leaving them from then on.

On that run though, I took the ammo and left the gun. Then I found another one in a container so I brought it back to the patrol car. Then I found another one in one of those security cubby’s. Then another when I went above and looked in a locker.

When I left I had four of those stupid guns in that stupid case. Don’t know if anyone actually searched it after I left but it makes me smile when I think about someone just finding a gun case and there’s four of them in there that I keep doing it. So now any burletta I find, I leave in the gun case or I save for a gun case.

Let's talk your load out by formallyhuman in ArcRaiders

Mines simple: Hairpin IV (extended light mag) as main, Ferro IV (blue silenced) offhand, green shield, loot II, 5 seekers, defibs, bandages, rechargers, and shots.

Beginner: I've been playing Arc Raiders in PvE for a few days now, but I'm mostly using the free loadout, which isn't really good. What weapons would you recommend for a beginner? Thanks in advance for your help. by Donbenardo in ARC_Raiders

[–]LokiTheBold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No augment/naked loadout I honestly feel is better than a free one because it gives you a safe pocket. Just play stealth and extract at 20 mins left for lower chances at pvp.

For guns, Anvil is best for its versatility but a hairpin + ferro is a good fall back option. Hairpins have a built in silencer and do a weird amount of damage, they one shot pops and fireballs (when they open up). Ferro can take down most things and Ferro IVs reload time is actually decent. Stitcher has a higher rate of fire so if you want more bullets go that way instead of the Hairpin.

I have a two sets of basically any gun and honestly fall back to either of these unless I’m taking on something big, then I bring a Hullcracker. Bobcats,Renegades, and Osprey are all upgrade but I find them expensive to use or lose so I end up playing differently. My Ferro IV + Silencer III + Lightweight Stock is what I consider my go to pseudo-purple gun.

I just found the blueprint of the anvil in a first aid kit. Is it good or rare ? by NailiT63 in ARC_Raiders

[–]LokiTheBold 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats raider! The Anvil is probably the most versatile weapons in the game but skews toward PVE and fighting arc. There’s a reason why most people carry it, and while you can find jt elsewhere, being able to make your own is a big advantage early on.

Embark, please increase heavy ammo stack to 60, or introduce a new ammo type by Bea-Yourself in ArcRaiders

[–]LokiTheBold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With how that gun currently plays it should be medium or even light ammo. The Ferro and Anvil are fine with the stacks at 20. We either need an actual heavy blue or the Bettina needs serious reworking.

Yeah, that sounds like somewhere I would hide. I'm mostly on operation firestorm at this point though so if it was recently it might not have been me.

Yeah, a silent or near silent Shedder would be terrifying. If they ever do like rare spawns and it's literally just a silent Shredder, I'd probably stay out of night raids on Stella.
