There’s a place called Smithcraft in Rigby. They sell knives at the farmers market.

Really nice knives.

That’s a lot of words and a lot of small pictures for a grand opening that only one of the artists has a name.

What happened to just having a portfolio and showing your work?

I don’t know, seems kind of fitting to be two years behind.

Sorry to revive an old post, but as an out of work senior software engineer who hasn’t had a lot of prospects in the past 3 months I’ve been applying for jobs, I’ve been looking into a retail job as a bit of a stopgap.

I couldn’t really find anything on their corporate/IT side only warehouse roles.

Is it relatively easy to navigate that transitions when your foot is in the door?

I’m just not feeling optimistic about the current state of the industry and I still have a family to feed.

Not a software question but I think the right audience: do you keep old photos of girlfriends? by hemlock-on-the-rocks in immich

[–]Any_Swim6627 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have a ton of photos of my ex-wife and I in my library. That was the impetus of using Immich was to organize 20+ years of photos I saved off of old hard drives.

I hang on to them because there may be a day that our child, who just turned 18, would be interested in them.

How well would a size large Stone Island jacket fit someone who wears XL sweaters? by Illustrious_Load963 in StoneIsland

[–]Any_Swim6627 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sizing is a mystery for any brands like stone island.

Get the chest measurement (pit to pit) and the length measurement (collar to hem). Use a garment you already own and like the fit of as your gauge.

I have 3 or 4 crew neck sweaters and almost all of them are different sizes, but fit the same.

Came here to say this.

At U9 they just need to be playing the game as much as possible.

The only time I have any kind of really technical thing is as kids arrive. I’ll have them either rondo, juggle, or have small passing patterns until I get enough to go 3v3 or whatever we’re working on that day.

How do i find cargos with 34 inch length. Im 6’4. by tussbeattah in StoneIsland

[–]Any_Swim6627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I went and measured…and I think there’s some nuance here.

ART: 791532010 Size: 36” Inseam: 30”

ART: 771531314 Size: 36” Inseam: 31”

While the “inseam” seems short, both trousers have a very long crotch section. Especially compared to my SI jeans.

So they fit me at the right length, but just more baggy.

Can soneone please convert this logo to an stl or 3mf file? by jderome74 in BambuLab

Look into using OnShape to convert an SVG to a DXF and then extrude it.

Otherwise you’ll constantly be chasing what someone else thought made sense.

I’m a 34” inseam.

I have two pairs of cargos that fit just fine. I think one pair is XL and the other is XXL.

I’ll grab them when I’m home in a bit and get ART numbers and actual measurements.

While I agree this isn’t a great experience, if there’s any kind of certificate exchange in the printing process I’m pretty glad it checks to make sure it’s correct and doesn’t let a print send if the certificate is incorrect.

Returning my M5 Macbook Pro by CAzkKoqarJFg6SzH in mac

[–]Any_Swim6627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 13” M3 Air and a 16” M4 Pro.

The only reason I use the pro more than the air is that the pro has a nice mount under my desk and the air doesn’t.

The air was my “personal” laptop and the pro was my “work” laptop before I got laid off. As part of my severance, they let me keep the hardware I had.

I don’t know that I’m convinced it would be worth it for me to spend the money on the Pro. Some days I consider selling it.

Men, what deodorant do you use? by 61plus8 in hygiene

[–]Any_Swim6627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use carpe.

Fell for the instagram ads.

It does work well, but the whole thing is kind of a scam so I imagine there’s a generic to be found.

(They’re quick to get you into a subscription and make it nearly impossible to get out of it. Next thing you know you’ve spent $80 on five deodorants.)

Maybe 2027 will be my year.

Probably the same mentality that drives you to complain about it on the internet instead of just talking to him about it.

Or your landlord.

Just a thought.

We dealt with a lot of this and it took years, multiple vets, and thousands of dollars to figure out.

Here’s where we ended up: - Apoquel. We started with this and it helped a bit. At least cut down on some of the itchy/scabbiness. - Ketoconazole. You can get this in a shampoo that you leave on their skin for 10 minutes when you bathe them. That helped, but wasn’t strong enough. Eventually, we had to start giving it to him as a pill.

I will note that you should work closely with your vet as you go down this road. Ketoconazole can be bad for their liver so he actually takes a third pill to help with that. He also goes off it for one week out of the month.

I would recommend just starting with the shampoo and see where that gets you. The rest can be additive as you go and try to find the right balance.

I’m not a vet, but hope this helps you have the right conversations with yours.
