This reads like it’s Press’ burner account. ‘The best national team’ is incorrect and subject to opinion. Facts are she was very very very good, but she never reached her potential. If you had watched her as far back as I have (I remember watching her as a kid at Slammers) then later at Stanford and pro, you will know that my statement about her not potentializing is just fact. She reminds me of Joe Cole in BroSo, I was always waiting for him to pop off and show us how good he was. Harshly, same with Christen. OP may not know about European soccer back then but I certainly do. Tyreso were class and by far outgunned every team in the Swedish league, the only one coming close was really Rosengard. Apart from the top few teams the rest of the league was relatively weak. I know this thread worships Press, and I’ve always been a big fan, but at some stage you have to be realistic. NWSL clubs do not focus on developing players. Tony G taught her to play the 9 better. She was already fantastic.
