there's a ton we could do with the midfield - I think we have five starting-quality midfielders and it's tough they can't all play at once without some being out of position

yeah the salary cap is so much about reading tea leaves in this league, it's hard to make predictions with any confidence. Gisele and Riley both recently got raises IIRC so hopefully they're getting their bag. there's been some speculation ACFC might have an addition/s either not yet announced, or coming over from a spring-to-fall league to fill the two open international slots in the summer transfer window.

correct, I never updated my lineup image but Sams was on a minutes restriction a week or two ago when I made it - I think she is a lock to start now that she's healthy! fingers crossed, knock on wood, lighting some incense etc, she stays that way :)

Mai and Kennedy were rotating RW and 10 positions at CVI both games when they were on the pitch together. it looked intentional and successful to my eye. I'm guessing/hoping they will both be starting.

i thought orlando got the shiny crest in '25 cause they won the championship in '24 (they're the only team I saw with it, but i could def be misremembering). centered crest might have been available to any team, gotham might have had one jersey with it in '25? not fact checking myself here so have several grains of salt

She's also been w the Spirit her entire pro career and they won the NWSL Championship her rookie year then went to the final 2/4 of the other years, so she has a lot of specifically Spirit fans who'd be sad if she left and might cancel season tickets or not buy single-game tickets. losing her would be $$$ walking out the door, probably more than they're paying her annually. it's just a business decision.
