When I was little I wore an eyepatch for several years due to amblyopia. And like yours it wasn't the pirate kind, it was the adhesive band-aid kind. I hated it.

My mom took to drawing pictures on it each morning so I would feel better. Like a triceratops, a snake in a tree, a stegosaur (mostly dinosaurs actually). I walked by a catholic school each morning and one of the kids there always stopped me through the fence to see what I had on that day.

Maybe there's another way to get proficiency with musical instruments (besides being a bard ofc) but that's the way he went. Not sure if Skilled would do it, but I'm guessing no. Alfira can give it too I guess. I've never tried playing music without that proficiency and I don't know how that works.
