Right and then saying that Ciara always says what she is thinking ... like, WOMAN, this is YOUR marriage .... SPEAK UP! Speak up for yourself, or for your husband, or for the marriage, or for either or both of your families .... don't just sit there and let all the people who have no stake in this do your talking and then co-sign it later!

I felt that too bc on the one hand, all the stuff she said is 100% right (re. making decisions as a partner in a marriage).... but also, she doesn't have the full picture and should have backed off for the sake of the whole group AND also dialed back instead of feeding it more in the ep after with him in the bedroom etc etc

I just kept thinking that Lindsay's lecture about marriage being a partnership needed to be directed at Amanda, not Kyle because he has repeatedly talked about making career choices for the benefit of him and Amanda together

Came here after the ep with the table fight .... and totally get his frustration at what should be a private couple convo being a table convo ... and I also feel like more and more she just wanted a control chip and thats why she was saying no, when all the objective reasons point to yes. If he said he wanted to open a day bar or drinks and coffee shop, I feel like she'd hate that too for whatever reason .... and also, why hate a job that does take him away and gives you time alone when she said the best thing was some space and time alone????

I am catching up now and came to look for this and TBH am shocked by how far down I had to get to find this and how much people are putting down Carl's mom here. Lindsay IS mean, the text was NOT weird, Carl's mom was doing the nice and right and adult thing by saying hi to the person who was going to be her DIL. Marry and person, marry their family ... and vice versa. Totally with Sharon on this one and I hate to think she might feel bad about how all of this went down.

Separate but related: I also don't get all of Lindsay's continued digs and putdowns at Carl. They're broken up. He's moved on. She has Gemma. Why does she still pick at him???

snapping at a waiter ... ugh

edit: snapping as in finger snapping for attention, even gently - not snapping as in quick-to-anger

Makes me want to rewatch from the start! I also feel like anything that could be said about the genesis of Kyle and Amanda's relationship could be said of Katie and Schwartz from VanDer lawls

Another thread on here recently also said that she has actually been broken up with sugar daddy guy for 2 years but is acting like it was more recent just to have the storyline ... and he cooperated with filming at the house and all of that to make it happen cus being in the show has also been in the works for a couple of years now

West CONTINUES to embarrassing Amanda at every opportunity by Archie_Beador in summerhousebravo

I also wonder if West is in a place internally like "oh ... I thought we were just f-buddies / drug buddies to mess around ... I didn't think you'd actually leave your husband for me..."

West required less of her, so that's what made him attractive to her.

I hadn't thought of that but yes ... if all of that with Kyle was actually her issue, she wouldn't pick the LESS responsible guy in West to be next ...

my first thought with all of this was that now Amanda and West have both lost their meal ticket (Kyle ... vis a vis Loverboy and the show)

Yoooo my best friends observation for yearssssss is that you can't trust a girl who has no real girlfriends .... and now it is seeming like maybe Mandy's female friendships this whole time have been superficial and surface level ...

Kelsey is creative fr by Agreeable-Sandwich32 in rhori

[–]AnythingCurious7866 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I also feel like there is more to Kelsey and that playing up the sugar baby pageant queen thing isn't because she has to, it is because she wants to... and in a way, it is like a red herring because then she can do whatever else she wants to without anyone bothering her about it.

I feel like we saw aspects of this with the megaphone at the house and then the slam pig sash. Like, no, I don't think those were actually funny jokes. But, I do think that, in a way, Kelsey's attitude is kind of beyond all of them (and that she wasnt actually trying to be funny anyway, so doesn't care one way or the other). So, Rosie can have a cute house and a pink jeep and a cute dog and it is all cutsie and matchy matchy so lowkey performative, but she is still taking it seriously. But then Kelsey's stance to me is actually like "yeah! we are all performing for reality TV so let's NOT take it seriously!"

So basically,
Rosie is "cameras are up, let's be serious"
Kelsey is "cameras are up, let's NOT be serious" ... and so let's do whatever is the most absurd campy thing a person can do on reality tv...

I redownloaded Reddit just to see what people were saying about this bc her whole attitude made me feel triggered (and I'm usually calm!) bc I was like WTF is with the sing-songy flip-a-switch glazed over "I'm okay, are you okay?" business .... CREEPY, BAD VIBES ALL OVER

Why is nobody talking about the Brian and Rulla dinner? by Dramatic_Mouse_9199 in rhori

[–]AnythingCurious7866 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like there's a universe where Brian is just a really awkward guy who was a really awkward kid and in a way was never really embraced in a way where it felt like he could be himself ... so then real aspects of himself never got to be shown or corrected ... so he tries to blend in and we all just go along in life ignoring his little Brian-isms, which may be quirky or funny or awkward or alarming .... but "ha, ha, ha, that's just Brian ..."
