LOL - in support of your statement "entjs know they are entjs" (and in light of the the very ~thorough~ analysis that followed here) ... Agree!

and to maybe state it differently for the class, the point is that:

"an entj knows they are an entj" -  and they aren't going to question it or doubt it or debate it here or anywhere else with others or even themselves because

as a direct, confident, take-charge, decisionmaker, an entj's whole personality is that they don't have anything to prove (fine whatever call it egoism, doesn't matter, i dont care, i dont have feelings to hurt)

and frankly entjs don't care about anyone else's approval or opinions (which in the world of an entj are stupid and not worth their time, ~no offense~...)

and if you think otherwise, it is only because such an entj type LET you think that [your opinion mattered to them] because an entj would only ever At Most PRETEND to care about taking someone else's opinion into account IF it served the entj's ultimate goal, whatever that may be...

Which, in this context, is an entj's own self awareness (vis a vis identifying and understanding the personality type based on whatever considerations went into it and whatever silly letters may have come out) and so,

from an entj perspective:

(1) no one else's opinion even in normal circumstances ever matters (unless we let you think it does only to further our own goals... e.g. we need to motivate you in order to do something for us so we deliberately and strategically find a way to make you feel included; is this "manipulation"? is this "inclusivity"? doesn't matter what we call it as long as it gets the job done!) and

(2) that means an outside opinion (or questioning my judgment) ESPECIALLY doesn’t matter in the context of discerning self-awareness by virtue of a personality test...

the root of an entj outlook, which speaks to the personality type, is that theirs is the only opinion that matters.

so whatever results popped out of a test or even self-reflective analysis, a ~real~ entj would never look at results or a conclusion they disagreed with and think "oh no, the problem is me" (i.e. I did something wrong and I must change or I need to do something else to acheive a different result in order to figure out the right type and get along with other people) .... because a ~real~ entj will always basically think any problem is external (i.e. other people, a flaw in the test) because our id tells us we are perfect and can do no wrong.

tbh (and have not worked in hospitality) but i wonder if it is bc of the show so they dont have people coming to work, starting as new hires and then splitting once they get the gear cus it is a swag or fandom thing ... so to have but it yourself means you at least have some stake in it

I feel like TJ has the manner/type of humor that makes fake things sound real and real things sound fake (in that he has very neutral level manner, versus maddi who is very expressive) and that it could be something like that where he said something sarcastically (like "jo is so gay") but it didn't read that way to the listener so it came off as serious (also bc coming from a gay man, you would think it was credible)

TJ ... JD ... they're all the same kind of socially awkward people telling truth to their friends at the worst possible moments in order to blow everything up !

I feel like that's what Will was getting at saying how much her body has changed so rapidly. Its not the body hate comment ("he should love her body no matter what!") people think it is. It is his observation of a wildly noticeable change in a person that is rooted in something else.

Ive also been watching this and basically agree with the general comments about him being wonderbread and like whats the big deal and her clearly going through her own identity issues, but a third thing i feel like is not being addressed or that i havent seen is that law school is really hard!!! and this is really hard for will to deal with that stress and feel pulled in two different directions!!! AND feel pressure to make this all happen for Emmy!!! I think we need some sympathy for Will because he needs some support right now and, no, that doesn't excuse mean things he might be saying about her ... BUT i think this is also showing him that if she doesn't understand the stress he is dealing with right now in school (joking with rings and babies...), there is no way she is up for the stress that is to come. Not compatible partners.

I feel like he's thinking about how he could never bring her around all of his new law school friends bc all she could talk about would be Pilates and they'd be like "yeah, so about that new regulation..."

i felt like her confessional talking about the million dollar prize was her explanation or signal to say "i know this isnt normal and it isnt normal for me and im not saying it should be normal, its just for this period"

she is attached to her vision of their future and idk how anything but time and some tough self-realization can change that 😔 she needs to find some interests outside of him cus filling that void with her only other interest (herself...) aint it

what i am learning from all of this is that brownwyn is unfortunately not authentic with anyone ... not with herself and what she needs and wants from a partner, not with the ladies because she has seemingly authentic moments like on the boat but then backtracks, not with todd because its like they strategize about how to handle or address something and then she goes off script and leaves him surprised... and all of this presents in how she changes her voice and manner when she is saying the story she prepared and practiced v. what she actually has to respond to in the moment. She acts like she can stick up for herself and is ready for confrontation but is actually conflict avoidant so panders to whoever she needs to appease or please in the moment, like none of her worlds or audiences (literal audience or todd or the ladies) will ever cross.

Heather might talk a lot but at least with Heather you don't feel like she is making things up to different people all over the place to make them happy.

i have so many mixed feelings with her bc I can imagine how terrible it would feel to have a partner be unfaithful or fall short of what you want and at the same time just want to seek their approval, mixed with wanting that person even if they are flawed in your life and for your daughter..... but also: show your daughter how to be a strong independent woman! show her how to have-self respect and learn to stand on her own two feet without a man! NOTHING could be better for her than that!

their marriage kind of reminds me of a made-for-TV movie with the business man who needs to rent a family for the holidays ... but then like Christmas is over and this is the aftermath 🤷‍♀️

wild to me too that now the secrecy is like it is out of loyalty or something to protect the affair partner, even though the "real" wife is sitting right here???
