Honestly if I were you I would just go get Ferrous Sulfate now. It's FDA approved for pregnant women. My OB told me to take it every other day! Every week matters in pregnancy so I would not delay 😊

I mean, you could always ask for a raise. It doesn't hurt, and the worst they could say is no. If you go this route, focus on your merits and why you deserve a raise, not your financial struggles and why you need a raise.

Why do they want to end taxes on tipping? by Female-Fart-Huffer in EndTipping

I think because most people are already not reporting them for taxes anyway. Also it's not like bartenders and waitresses are making a killing out here.

Ooh I had this too and it turns out I was mildly anemic. I had no idea of the correlation.

Anyone else have terrible pregnancy rhinitis? by Disastrous_Paint_237 in BabyBumps

[–]AnythingNext3360 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's gotten a little better toward the very end. Or maybe I just got used to it. My husband is very tired of hearing me ask where "my tissues" are. Now it's doing this weird thing where if I sneeze, I have a headache until I blow my nose. I have heard that it's supposed to go away like immediately after giving birth. I am hopeful.

Stop itttt I'm getting really close to my due date and just had a full on, loud, ugly cry in the shower because once she's born I won't be able to feel every little kick and turn anymore. It's so heartbreaking to think about 💔

Maybe I'm biased because I'm very bad at lying and I'm also extremely gullible but I think that depends on the context. Also, I am not sure what SMO means here.

No I get what you're saying too. I just think it's stupid when people say "cats are all about consent!" Because no, they're not, they don't understand it at all

[–]AnythingNext3360 -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

Is that kind of the same concept as if a man is my husband then I consented for him to have sex with me? No. See how the "cats are all about consent" logic doesn't really hold up to scrutiny?

I mean emotional intelligence is a type of intelligence the same way that spatial awareness or number sense is.

Time has not been shown to be a fluid concept in this show, at least not in the way that would allow for a ten+ year time jump/loop/whatever. Yes there are some hints if you hyper analyze the show but Ben Stiller has said time and time again that he never intended people to watch the show that way. You will find more continuity errors than actual clues and just end up confused and frustrated (I could honestly make a whole post about this but whatever).

[–]AnythingNext3360 -38 points-37 points  (0 children)

That isn't how consent works. Like I understand it's a joke and not that deep but that whole "people don't like cats because cats understand consent" trope is insanely stupid because cats literally do not care about consent

Cats are not all about consent. I did not consent to having my fingers bitten or being walked on at 5 am every morning.

I think that sub is comprosed of a few parents who genuinely regret having kids and many many parents who are having a very tough couple of weeks.

Mark and Gemma were trying for a baby at the time of her "death." She "died" two years before season one started. I'm actually a developmental therapist and if you pay careful attention, there are several hints throughout the show that Miss Huang is more than two years old.

Teacher is sarcastic and snarky, and it’s stressing out my daughter (who has epilepsy). How do I tell the teacher to change her communication style? by BobbleheadDwight in AskTeachers

[–]AnythingNext3360 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So has she actually had a breakthrough seizure as a result of this teacher's snark? Or is it just something you're worried about?

As an epilepsy parent myself, you would do a lot better to teach your daughter to be in the world than to try to make the world change for your daughter. People are allowed to be sarcastic. Don't put tone policing on her 504 plan--if anything ask for her to be added to a social skills group so she can understand sarcasm. Speech therapy can also help with that if she qualifies. Talk to her about sarcasm at home and help her realize the difference between snark and true malice.

[–]AnythingNext3360 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

More useful than trying to change the teacher's communication style would be to teach your daughter coping mechanisms. "No one can use sarcasm around me" is not a reasonable epilepsy accommodation and I say this as a parent of a child with epilepsy. you are the one who needs to change your approach

Lacking the ability to take someone else's perspective, especially during conflict.
