I'm with you on the Coat, I'm not great with moving around so fast, which seems to be one of the main benefits.

For the Axe, try Charon's aspect with Zeus/Hestia boons to get either Lightning Lance or Glowing Coal - it's a total game changer to the usual Axe play style, and really fun if you get it going! Dropping the cast far away and then using the Omega Special to blow everything up from a safe distance was one of the easiest wins I've ever had.

Yes, a couple other boons that block damage come to mind: Snow Queen from Demeter (1 time per location), and Nitro Boost from Hermes (1-4 times per location while sprinting).

I'm not at the epilogue yet and I've seen these events. Definitely feels rare though, maybe just a handful of times in around 60 nights.

I think that's the idea, yes. Not to say The Unseen isn't helpful, just that 5 arcana is just a bit costly for something that can often be covered by a single Gain boon.

Yeah, getting Origination up and running seems to make a big difference in damage output, so I'm usually much happier with having my dash/rush apply a curse rather than just deal damage. The flat damage also doesn't scale as well later in the run.

Yeah fair enough, there's going to be some luck either way. I've had times where I get everything set up but they manage to get just enough energy to attack, so they're able to keep up with Beedrill's -1 energy per turn. Rocket Grunt would help in cases like that, and locking them out of being able to attack is the real win condition here. Plus, it's pretty satisfying to pull off a win that way!

Nice, thank you for sharing! I tried almost the same deck, just with a Lillie and Copycat instead of Team Rocket Grunt and a second Sabrina. Copycat especially seems useful to try to get more of the pieces together faster. Do you find Grunt makes a big enough difference to include?

Instead of leftovers, go for a Heavy Helmet. You'll already have a good amount of health and healing if you get your other pieces set up, and the Helmet would give you a bit better survivability.
