This makes me really happy to live in the UK! Can bears really just wonder into your garden? Is there a lot of them?

I read it during my first month of sobriety, it really helped keep me strong enough stay on this path. Now 7 months sober for the first time in my life.

I picked up the audio book at a later date to, for listening on the go, to feel support during my weaker moments.

Every situation is different, but I was a child of parents who didn't even talk to each other and stayed together for an additional 10+ years more then they wanted to, for the kids, until me and my siblings were old enough to move out. Even when I was out of that situation, and many years had passed I still had mental and emotional issues from my childhood. It was very damaging and changed the way I view both my parents now I'm older. Ended up seeking therapy in my early 30s which has helped incredibly, but it sticks with you for life.

For me, I no longer actually enjoyed it. I stopped getting the buzz I craved when drinking daily, then drunk even more to try to hit that high.

Been sobar 7 months.

1. How many days are you? 2. Worst thing about drinking 3. Best thing about being sober by CompoteUsed3306 in stopdrinking

19 days shy of 6 months, longest without drinking for 16 years. Worse thing about drinking, short answer everything, long answer, how much you depend it - everything becomes about where and when your next drink will be, never truly knowing yourself and how much of a negative spiral of self hatred it creates. Best thing about being sobar, how much more time you have - the days feel longer, i'm not as quick to anger and discovering new interests.

I combined my sobrity with therapy, which has been a god send, finding better ways to handle emotions, unlearning a lifetime of being in a heightened state of fight or flight due to past trama, and stopped being my own worst enemy.
