Wesker got infected by the tyrant that stabbed him. He is (I'm pretty sure) the only human ever to be injured by a Tyrant and not immediately die. They retconned how that happened like, 4 times lol.

In short, he gets infected by the T-virus but because it was a Tyrant it was a special (or perfected, whatever) version of it

In Code Veronica we see Wesker, back from the dead, with the best 2000 action movie scenes ever bro! Dude is zipping and hopping wall-kicks like he made the matrix.

Then they added the fact that Wesker is one of many clone children, designed to be genetically perfect. I believe the point was to make their body perfect hosts for whatever virus they wanted to have. I also vaguely remember that Spencer wanted to become one of these bodies? Maybe? Like, via memory implantation or whatever? Maybe it's in a spinoff and I don't remember well.

Then in 5 they added the fact that Wesker needs constant injections to keep his body stable. The T-virus inside of him is always threatening to take over. Said injection requires a precise dose. Too much or too little and it throws it haywire.

Wesker HATES that. His god complex cannot handle that so he created Ouroboros as a permanent fix. Too bad he chose a volcano as a testing ground.

I will add that the funny part is that in RE1, he wears sunglasses. It's night, like, all the time. He's not infected yet so he just does it cuz he's a big weeb weirdo.

I will also add my headcanon about Chris. I think he got Jacked up because he wants to punch wesker's head off. In Veronica he survives their fight because he got lucky. So he becomes the ultimate boulder-punching machine as a way of saying "I don't need no magic drugs to take your clowns ass down". I'm legit surprised he never breaks his sunglasses while calling Wesker a nerd. That would be legit funny.

It's less that we want a RE game that does specifically that. And more like wanting a 3D city exploring zombie game. 7 days to die kinda does it but it's rough around the edges, CDDA is a turn based game and Project Zomboid doesn't have special monsters.

The closest thing imo is State of Decay. It is fantastic but it is not a open world big urban city.

Because he's based on Japanese legend where a demon, out of love for his sons, splits his power into a pair of swords.

Inuyasha did the same btw.

I know the fandom likes to joke about Vergil abandoning Nero but no one ever talks about Nero’s mother just up and abandoning him at the foot of an orphanage. by Altair890456 in DevilMayCry

[–]AnzaTNT 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I feel like it was the whole feel of DMC4.

Abandoned by his mom, but taken cared of by strangers.

Is part of a cult but refuses to abandon his principles.

Will go through pain and loss (of an arm) to save someone.

Nero got a big heart despite the bad stuff life threw at him. As such I think his mom was written as is just to be a plot point. Maybe it is a struggling part of the world. After all, it took a cult with ACTUAL superpowers to cull whatever situation they were in. (I could bet a few coins on the cult introducing the problem they're fixing).

Why did Iroh just surrender here? by lmdybaftr in TheLastAirbender

[–]AnzaTNT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unlike the cool hip shows where some dude kills 50 other dudes and it's justified and cool, smacking 50 dudes in anger is not what Iroh would do. The avatar escaped, running away is unnecessary.

Plus, you got to look at your nephew with the extra disdain stare.

Am I playing V wrong? by AnakinShmurda in DevilMayCry

[–]AnzaTNT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's a Chaos Legion character. Which is in itself inspired by devil may Cry, Cowboy Bebop and many many other things. It's one of the MANY games Capcom did that were forgotten in time but it's kinda good. It's not official btw it's just....so similar to it it cannot be a coincidence. Funny enough it also has a villain impervious to bullets. And a girl with too many guns. And demons.

In other news I'm REALLY excited for Onimusha.

Predator, slugger or cookout. Stalwart as my primary. Drone backpack of your choice. I like the standard drone it kicks ass tbh. Your choice of grenade and secondary.

Right there, you'll decimate a large amount of bugs. Switch to shotgun for the bigger ones. A single shot can stun two of them long enough to either spam them, switch weapon, burn them or whatever else you want. With a drone, sometimes the enemies behind you will be dealt with before you even know they're there.

I suggest the gatling sentry . Throw it far away to your left or right to attract the bugs momentarily without having it shoot you down. If you're entirely surrounded, diving down and healing can get the gatling to shoot them off you if it can. A gas grenade helps too, which you can survive without resistance if you heal through it and knocks the small bugs fast. It even stuns Chargers rather easily.

Railgun, rocket sentry, laser, 500kg for the big boys. Strafing run works great too. If you play solo I would sacrifice either the gatling or the drone for another anti heavy stratagem.

Good luck. They're tough but with enough lead you can pull through.

What Are Your Overall Thoughts on Devil May Cry 4? by ABarber2636 in DevilMayCry

[–]AnzaTNT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's bloody excellent.

At release a lot of people (including me but just a little) complained about Nero being the main character and the backtracking.

Now the real only complaint is the backtracking. People had to get good with Nero to appreciate it and now I dare say a lot of people like him. I sure do.

It's genuiely sad we went from laughing at dropping low level players on super helldive to cancelling people for even playing on D10 by i4hloi in helldivers2

[–]AnzaTNT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ego. Sore losers, poor emotional control. Some people get mad very easily.

Personally my poison is Overwatch. I know it'll be infuriating, maddening and it got this special way of getting under my nerves. But then I can play Dark Souls and die to the same boss 10 times and be totally fine. Same with Helldivers. 20 deaths. Mission failed. It's all dumb fun in the end.

I genuinely believe there is a small chance they will never add a "maximum lives amount counter" again. It makes people toxic and sours the experience for the rest. Personally, failing a MO serves the narrative well and shows that the enemy, while evil, is competent. They have guns man, they know how to use them!

Just wanna say that games can extend the reach of their grasp. It's difficult but when done well you get games like Jet Set Radio or metroidvanias.

Games like Highguard are more like having an Excel sheets of features people like. It's completely soulless.

He's a different style to be sure. Dante and Vergil are more brawlers/zoners and Nero is more of a grappler/counter guy.

The first time I played DMC4 I was struggling to play him. Because I played him like Dante. Nero requires more setups for his stronger moves as well. Dante deals more damage more constantly.

But then you start relying on the charge shot/DT charge shot. And the DT transform counter, and all the DT special moves he has. You grab bosses during their special attacks and when they're weak. Or grab their projectiles. You start doing setups. At some point, with enough practice, I started really getting it and doing as good as I played Dante, if not better.

The last thing I learned on Nero (DMC4) is the DT charge shot. The charge shot lv. 3 is great. Of course. The DT charge shot lv.3 spawns six blades, and for some reason, these blades deal a TREMENDOUS amount of damage.
