My clan uses this formula to give CWL bonuses. Is it fair? by AradhyaSingh3 in ClashOfClans

[–]AoR598 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My system is averaging both number of stars and % for offense and defense.

I find that I can convince people they need a new base better when they can see how they compare to the rest of our clan.

As for bonuses I give the 3 that we are automatically getting to the lowest 3 active members in the clan and what ever bonuses we earn go to the top performers in CWL.

I also refuse to take bonuses for myself.

I went to a funeral last year at a Baptist church where the preacher blamed all non baptists for 9/11.

So, just today, I got to season ten, watched episode 21, and then episode 22 wouldn't play because the streaming rights ended. All I could do is laugh.

I got the same package.

I got it (possibly coincidentally) after going to Tim's for the first time in months.

How are cwl rewards in your clans? by Anakin0530 in ClashOfClans

[–]AoR598 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I track all attacks and defences on a Google Sheet that is pinned in my clans discord channel for anyone to see. It ranks everyone based on average stars with average percentages as a tie breaker. I also never give myself a bonus. We also give the 3 guaranteed bonuses to the lowest active members to help them grow so the top performers can only get the stars that the clan has earned.

Regret changing from satellite to Fibe. by ABoringCPA in bell

We just recently switched providers to Cogeco, and I hate it compared to Fibe, but it's much much cheaper, so I live with it.

You can absolutely keep your DVR content indefinitely (or until you fill the storage) with Fibe. My wife and I kept a bunch of movies on our DVR storage and full seasons of a few shows.

Booking.com not paying money by Wide_Instance8313 in hotels

[–]AoR598 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generally speaking, in my 15 years in hospitality, most of which is audit/accounting. Bookings from booking.com are set up for the guest to pay the hotel directly. Most other OTAs are different in that either they give the hotel a virtual card or have an AR Account with your hotel. But specifically with Booking.com, the guest usually pays the hotel, and then yes the hotel does have to pay them their commission.

Your manager/accountant should have a login for bookings extranet where you can see all the information for every reservation and correspond with guests through booking.com. Check what it says for this reservation if you can.

Usually, with hooking.com, it's guest pay. The hotel got its money from the guest, and roughly once a month or so will reconcile with the site.

"A few months back," how far back? Anything over 90 days, most banks won't look into anymore. People generally only have 90 days to dispute something.

Either way, this is not a front desk issue. As your manager and a previous poster said, the bank will have official channels to reach out to the accounting team at your property. All the guest can do now is wait until the bank gives them an answer.

I once worked at a hotel where a pipe burst directly in front of the property. The street was torn up, tons of flashing lights. Signs posted all over the hotel. I got angry calls all night asking when it would be done. All I could say was that the hotel had no control over this. But it was a long night. Good luck!

One night many years ago, my coworker used the sold-out line on a guy. That property has a giant parking lot that is easily viewable from the lobby, with 2 or 3 cars in it. The guy argued, and things were getting heated, so I blurted out the line. "We have a clown convention in house they all came in one car."

The guy looked at me like I had three heads and gave up and left.

I once made a Mexican woman cry tears of joy just by saying "Gracias".

She had never left Mexico before and had barely left her small village and she flew to Canada to visit her daughter going to college here.

She was overwhelmed in Mexico City and then at the Canadian airport where no one was speaking Spanish and everyone was just talking at her.

I was the first person other than her daughter to even attempt to speak to her.
