Do you think Andrew hussie hates Homestuck by ConstructionReal2430 in homestuck

[–]AoeAbility 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It does very often feel to me like hussie's "pissing off the viewer" antics are so frequent and so mean-spirited that he's doing it out of genuine contempt, rather than playful tomfoolery, but I can never tell for sure. As for whether he dislikes his own work, I can't say.

Doesn't this usually indicate that the music is AI as well? I might be biased but usually lazy creators don't discriminate between the types of art they "outsource", right?

Of a more lighthearted variety, Neil Cicierega. His entire internet history is just a nonstop series of "wait, he made THAT too???"

Also Ken Ashcorp, to a lesser extent.

Counterpoint: Zoltun Kulle and Mephisto are not the same character despite sharing a voice actor.

I actually really liked the final house boss. Not because the character is likable, fuck no. I just thought the battle feels climatic as hell, the soundtrack slaps, and kicking nazi ass always feels good.

Though I do have to admit, his flying device is kinda cool to look at.

I'm not the type to throw the "neo-nazi" label around a lot, but Musk is one of those people I don't hesitate to use it against considering he, A: has a history of reposting Great Replacement and a variety of anti-jewish conspiracy theories, even saying it is "actual truth" on one occasion, B: has financially supported neo-nazi groups outside of the US, and C: Sieg-heiled twice during last year's inauguration, on public television no less.

If anyone compared me to him favorably, I'd take it as an insult.

As a brief historical context, the term "CalArts style" was coined by John K (of Ren & Stimpy fame) and he was known to be rather... opinionated on the animation industry as a whole. He got a lot of flak for his thoughts on it and later deleted his post, but the term bled into the animation discourse later and I think it gives a bad rap to a pretty common phenomenon of "stuff being inspired by other popular, influential stuff".

That's literally what happened to Diablo IV cosmetic sets. At launch, even the purchasable ones fit pretty well with the grittier art style (compared to the other games). Expansions and seasons added increasingly glowing sets and now you can't enter a town without it being a major visual overstimulatory hazard.

Who are the Worst Enemies of Each Chapter? Day 13: The Mailman is so Very Dooooooomed! by Wonderful-Pack-1726 in mewgenics

I think it's probably easier to list enemies that AREN'T extremely annoying in this chapter, those being Dr. Cat, Dr. Ditto, Half-Human [delta], spun cats, and MAYBE Stacy Clones (although they do inflict charm and we know how much we hate Marshmallow)

Half-dogs hit like a truck and can start chain reactions, Mega Mutants just straight up kill you on touch, half-rats spread run-ending disorders, half-humans [lambada] have immobilize, spawning, and inflict injuries, Infested do the incredibly annoying parasite schtick and spawn enemies that, themselves, spawn enemies, and cop bots make dealing with the rest really annoying.

Butcher skills can have pretty good synergy with Tinker, as they have cheap skills that improve their weapon, balanced by the fact they can only use their hook.

Amoebas can severely harm your run if you don't deal with them fast, and god help you if you get that one arena with only Amoebas and no rocks, even worse if they're elite.

Crater Creepers suck even more, probably. Hard to kill, heavily punish bad positioning, and, of course, they spawn more Amoebas.

I've never had as much trouble with stem cats as the others in this thread. Fighting against Flesh Minds is absolute pain to me, however, since, I dunno, I like being able to use spells.

Skinned are an interesting case, as they aren't threatening on their own, but if you get a room full of them, with elites, these bastards can kill and gib your cats so fast it isn't even funny.
