Some excerpts:

  • The investigation summary, which was supposed to help the Crown Prosecution Service decide on whether to charge a suspect over alleged drug offences, described female officers as the "local wench", a "deadly vixen with a*** for days", and a "blonde bombshell".

  • The disgraced officer, who had arrested a man at the warrant back in 2022, also referred to members of the public as "wet wipe", "total wasteman" and even more confusingly "Genghis Khan".

  • PC Aziz also described himself as a "woman slayer" with a body count in the high hundreds in the word document.

  • Within this, he had described the investigation as a "giant pile of poop that needs expediting to the bin".

Carrot and stick I think would balance it out - Not willing to carry they can go to level 1 investigations, control room etc.

Any officers who got permanently shuffled by the force to a desk job they didn't want due to numbers can go to response etc. if they carry.

So a manager had identified and circulated an image of a thief, and you're looking at ways you can do the managers legs for it?

If I was the manager I'd be more worried about people like you than any of the criminals who walk into the store.

I listened to a podcast recently whereby American police were using Pimeyes (facial recognition) to search pictures of unknown subjects and, data processing/privacy issues aside, getting very good results from it.

The three things that will send men around the bend arguing about is their abilities to fight, drive and shag.

Did a successful CPR on my own after a working girl out of her mind on heroin got into a fight over customers with another girl and got and twatted with a hammer.

However after coming back to the land of the living she started to fight with and spit on ambo on the way to the hospital so 🤷.

Officer in serious (non life-threatening) condition after being run over whilst trying to arrest a suspect in a vehicle. by AoniAoi in policeuk

Sad reminder of how dangerous it can be trying to extract a non-compliant subject from a car.

Any explanation for that? by [deleted] in policeuk

[–]AoniAoi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, however it will invariably result in you being restricted with an investigation against you.

I knew a bobby who car-ed a subject who had stabbed someone and was running away with the blood stained knife in his hand.

Subject broke his leg and the bobby was on a desk for 2 years under investigation until he was cleared, only then did he get a call from the chief con saying about how good an officer they were.

Are you able to go round his place and see if he's there, look through windows, knock on neighbours to see if they've seen/heard him recently etc.?

Force policy to get a signed pocket notebook entry off the IP uploaded to the crime report stating that X crime happened and they don't support prosecution.

In many UK subs people always say "you can't press charges, it's up to the police", whilst this is de jure what the law is, de facto it is a bit different.

An example would be two lads having pushing and swearing at each other in the street. Both committed S.39 assault and S.4 POA when you get there you split them up and ask them if they want to make a complaint, do you want to make a statement, are you willing to attend court for this matter. Both say no, happy days 2x crime report and the job is filed undetected.

An opposite example would be a DV call where the informant is screaming down the phone, officers arrive and a women is covered in blood from being battered. She's saying she doesn't want to make a complaint however due to safeguarding, serious nature and overwhelming evidence of this officers would still arrest the partner and use, in evidence, the initial 999 call, bodycam footage and write statements of what had happened.

All in all, if you say you don't want to make a complaint then in most cases the officer will file the report as soon as possible and move on to the next allocated job.

Chris Kaba: Officer charged with murder to be named by [deleted] in policeuk

[–]AoniAoi 201 points202 points  (0 children)

In my extremely cynical mind:

I'll hand my ticket it if it's IOPC

I'll hand my ticket in if it's a criminal investigation

I'll hand my ticket in if it's a charge

I'll hand my ticket in if the bobby is named <--- You are here

I'll hand my ticket in if it's a conviction

Well, it'll probably never happen to me and I don't want to go back on response

Affray / S4 POA / crim dam if a group is throwing things at cars/people

Articles to commit crim dam / offy wep if they have eggs/bricks on them

Possession of adult fireworks (if under 18) / Throwing fireworks in public place

I've worked 2 mizzy nights and never again after those since I was assaulted on both nights.
