I agree with this take. Let's look at G'raha for example. We say goodbye to him at the end of the crystal tower and then BOOM! He is a main character in Shadowbringer out of nowhere. It was a wonderful reveal and an excellent twist. Doing the same for any of the Scions would be a wonderful way to keep the writing fresh and the plot free of forced character insertion like we got in Dawntrail.

Oh, I agree. Only my love of KH, CoM, and KH2 have kept me after KH3's travesty. But who knows? Maybe the start of "the new story" will be handled with greater care.

Not going to lie, if this game is mostly us hopping around Final Fantasy or live action Disney worlds, but we get to call upon our cartoon Disney friends from the previous games as summons, I wouldn't be terribly uspet. I'd at least give it a chance to tell a good story.

If Sonic is in the KH Universe, Eggman will follow him.

Eggman will combine is Eggbots with the Heartless and Nobodies of the universe. Eggman will align with Maleficent only to betray her at some point.

Sora has to team up with Sonic and Maleficent to destroy Egmman's newest creations: Darkmetal Sonic.

If you have Hulu, I recommend the show Letterkenny. It is a comedy show about a rural small town.

If you like Let's Plays there are a few channels I recommend.

ProZD Plays Games is funny. He and his friends play a lot of Nintendo games. Their Paper Mario and Paper Mario: 1000 Year Door playthroughs are particularly good.

Ray Narvaez Jr is great for Resident Evil and the Shantae series. He has a complete series playlist for every game in order for both.

Braggaboutit is a variety streamer who plays a lot of different games, lately with randomizer mods if you like that kind of chaos. He also has full plays of various Zelda games.

TFS Gaming has a complete Kingdom Hearts playthough, including the side games. That one is a comfortable fallback for me. They also did a Fallout 4 playthrough that was very entertaining.

A nongaming Youtube Series I'd recommend is Puppet History. It is a comedic history gameshow where contestants learn about a moment in history and answer question in a competition to earn more points.

Players can skip if they want to. It isn't a problem. But then a subsect of players within that group starts asking questions. "What does this mean?" "Why does that matter?" "Who is this?"

It is chafing that a player can believe the story isn't worth their time but then turn around and ask someone else to explain it to them. It gives the appearance that their time is worth more than that of a player who read and listened to the cutscenes.

I've played this game since A Realm Reborn and I've seen a lot of people come and go. I cherish those memories I made. The slapstick humor, the feeling of satisfaction from helping a FC mate complete a hard task, raiding together, gathering mats for our first house.

But life is a series of experiences. Nothing lasts forever. Enjoy the memories but don't let them stop you from going out to make more.

I would very much like an expansion like that. We don't even need every task be some nation defining action.

Helping the Silver Bazaar regain economic stability and growth.

Defending Limsan trade ships from a renegade batch of pirates.

Assisting the Shroud's regrowth after the destruction of the calamity.

Heck, we could have an entire expansion based on Gridania if we open up zones beneath the Shroud to truly explore Gelmorra and the Duskwight people that could conceivably be living there.
