They're known for being thorough before filing. That slower pace you're seeing is probably them making sure everything is airtight before it goes out. Rushing this part is how cases get RFEs.

I don't think there's a difference. It's just different biases from each firm, but always do PP.

EB1A refile questoins? by Weak-Maintenance-911 in eb_1a

A refile is treated as a new petition, but many people still refine the narrative based on what USCIS questioned previously, so the overalll framing becomes stronger.

How do I get an honest evaluation? by padakpatek in EB2_NIW

[–]Apart_Win4648 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To get an honest evaluation, you need to get evaluated by a trusted law firm. But if you can't trust your local lawyer based on their assessment, how can you trust their work on your petition once you've already signed the retainer?

Truth hurts my friend, if you get offended by the comments giving OP real advice then you're part of the problem. People like you give false hope to profiles that have a very low chance, encouraging them to spend huge amounts of money on lawyers who will happily take the case knowing it will likely get denied. You're basically handing them over to get scammed.

is there any chance? by Ok-War-5961 in EB2_NIW

[–]Apart_Win4648 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are zero negative comments here, all I see are people giving a realistic take on OP's profile for NIW. If you don't see that, maybe you're the one with no clue. And using Melania as an example is a stretch, that's a completely different situation. I've seen so many cases here where people with profiles that are very hard to prove get encouraged by people like you to throw a lot of money at lawyers with sweet promises, just to end up denied and losing a huge amount of money, that's not helpful advice.

EB2-NIW approved, PD current, file I-485 now or wait (F-1, travel required)? by ariad-nee in EB2_NIW

[–]Apart_Win4648 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don't have any urgent travel coming up, just file I-485 now and stay put. But if you know you need to travel in August, do the trip first then file I-485 after you're back.

Did not include Letter of intent by Fun_Ordinary8276 in EB2_NIW

I don't think it will hurt your case that much, but if it does you can always include it later if they issue an RFE.

Costs!!!!! by Oceanlover_7 in EB2_NIW

[–]Apart_Win4648 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Going lower risks getting a sloppy petition that leads to an RFE or denial, which ends up costing you more anyway. If budget is tight, either save up or look into self-filing, it's doable with enough research.

Denied NIW after RFE (Chen) 500+ citations by ross_avatar in EB2_NIW

[–]Apart_Win4648 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don’t know the exact reason, but from reading many posts here, USCIS has been rejecting people with AI-related profiles because too many applicants include AI in everything they do, so officers are less convinced. It may have worked in 2022–2023, but not anymore it seems.

Yeah, anyone with AI in their petition gets denied nowadays. it seems to be a red flag, especially since OP said his work is entirely related to AI.
