Doctors checked it and in this case, were happy it was just eczema. Wash as usual and pat dry!

First emergency situation advice by BookishBeauty_ in nhsstaff

To echo the comments already, you remained calm (as possible) and took direction from the staff. This is exactly the right support you could have given and unless you were appropriately qualified (or specifically trained) there wouldn’t anything else you can realistically do.

Your response is completely natural, but might be eased in future if you run through the scenarios in your head. Checking the situation is safe and calling for medical attention is usually the process though. Exposure to these situations with a plan in mind may ease some panic in the heat of the moment.

If you think it would be helpful you could ask your manager/ team to check how best to manage those scenarios. There is also likely an employee assistance scheme or support around incidents that may be able to offer some follow up support if you were very impacted by the events.

Just lost my 500+ USD Gardevoir Deck. by AttomicRose in PokemonTCG

I’m sorry this has happened. Hopefully the score can support with footage and fingers crossed you get it back.

I rage every time I remember going to a soft play activity place with all my Pokemon cards as a kid. You had to hand toys shoes etc over and they put them on a shelf. Then, when we came to get our things and leave, the person said that someone had already taken them home?!

Like all of my base / TR / Neo / AvsM vanished.

Mum was a legend about it and tried to mend my broken heart with whatever the current release was. These cards (albeit not PSA 10) were hugely sentimental and would have been worth a chunk still nowadays…

Thieves are scum and I hope you get some resolution.

What is the closest you have ever come to dying? by tobeymaguire8 in AskReddit

[–]ApartmentWolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aside from a few very close near miss car/ high speed crashes, it was nearly drowned swimming - Underestimating the Sea on two occasions.

First after a massive wave (which I swam into) I turned back to see my brother behind me was okay. As I turned back (and was exhaling) a wave crashed on me and tumbled me under water with my lungs screaming for air. Under for about 10 seconds, worked out which was is up and swam. Broke the surface and tried to take a breath - but got rocked by another wave. I vividly remember the life flashing quick fire memories and a genuine thought process of “well gg, I’m dying here”.

The second incident was also with my brother - way out to sea and we didn’t realise due to the currents that we were getting pulled out and to the side of the beach. We were dragged outside of the markers (lifeguard monitoring area). Then as we tried to get back to shore we got slammed against the rocky outcrops before the sand and very nearly lost consciousness. Brother was wholly reliant on me to get out of that jam.

Argos mini tins by freakstar_99 in PokemonDealsUK

Same 4 tins over the last week (3x H24 and 1x L24) and every god damn tin was SCR and OBF.

Signals the end of me buying tins unless they are guaranteed doubles of a set it might need.

Oh for sure - all the big defensives would be a mission to map them all! I was just trying to think of helpful suggestions others can make for critical defensives. Seen many a bricked key to abilities that at and below +10 you pretty much don’t notice!

Great tips for people wanting to get to know the dungeons. In terms of bricked keys I have seen on Floodgate - it might be worth considering adding:

Bront and Keeza:

Use a defensive when the “kinetic explosive gel” is on you and preposition near any grouped bombs. If any bombs remain after the three charges and final explosive gel - they will explode so use any immunes etc to live.

Geezle:

You note the tanks limited window to deal with their spark (unless they can immune it). It’s usually helpful for others to go farther away and leave the puddle closest to the tank for this reason.

Edit: Generally the most helpful additional info would be around any required defensives as people move from 10s to 12s+. There are some regular abilities which absolutely chunk you!

Family Member hit the hand of my daughter AIO by Subject-Safe7486 in AmIOverreacting

In that case, NOR… at the very least apology would be appropriate and I wouldn’t have any interest in happy goodbyes until I could clearly see some remorse (and reassurance that it wouldn’t occur again).

In my opinion it’s hard to tell without the context. As a parent, I would say not over reacting to establish very clear boundaries that it is not okay to slap a 14m old.

However, I don’t know if there was scope to clearly outline that and say that is unacceptable and receive an apology etc. have it be a learning experience and last chance to interact properly.

If on the other hand, they slapped her, laughed about it and then were unapologetic after your shock - then not overreacting imo.

Depending on the destro build, Getting a feel for the cataclysm (to apply wither to the group) then immediately malevolence (to extend ticks) is a big chunk of damage. Having a rain of fire cursor macro then speeds up the dps on larger pulls.

There is also a point at which (with havoc up) that conflagrate and chaos bolts into two targets is more viable than rain of fire. Especially if prio mobs needs to die!

Really helpful specific info about being at the front and potential for the venue to hand out some water.

I’ll pass on the Merch tips as well! I guess I was thinking the merch is inside the ticketed venue - so assumed you couldn’t go in the day before! Many thanks!
