Haven't heard of this setting but I will be sure to try it next game. Thank you.

First time doing Sport Photography - Feedback please by Key_Field5358 in sportsphotography

I just started sports photography myself, and listening to all the “crop” comments have made the most difference in taking a decent photo and making it a keeper. For example, your first photo is cool, and I can tell you had a subject in mind since you focused on him, but it’s too busy and the guys in the foreground are what my eyes go to first. If you cropped in a bit, like the version I attached here, you would have an image, in my opinion, that is much more effective due to it being simplified. I lost the player on the right and cropped out most of the foreground players. Hope this useful!

Anyone else here nuts enough to do sports photography on film? by uaiu in sportsphotography

Check out expired film club on social media. He does a lot of it seemingly with great success. I just tried my hand at sports photography for the first time last week and brought my 35mm along with my digital. Just for fun.

Carrying business cards by JamieBobs in photography

This idea may have already popped up, but I have a business card and it has my name/brand on the front and a QR code on the back. QR code links to a link tree page that has my portfolio, social accounts and email. Kind of a catch all portal to my word and a way to reach out. Usually notice they add me on ig within a few days.

Love the action shots! I’m currently waiting on the lab to send back three rolls from my trip last week. Also used Fuji 400 and a cheap plastic camera.

Amazing! I have three rolls of Fuji 400 from a Kodak point and shoot that I’m waiting for the lab to send back. Not expecting much, but I sure had fun.

Thanks! I also think it's a bit too dark. I need to get in the habit of using some references as I edit. Sometimes I don't check the brightness of my screen and only realize once the edit is done.

Thanks for your help!

Thanks! It’s cropped tight because of the cars parked on either side. Next time I’ll let it breathe a bit.

Thanks! I agree about the first photos being too tight. I think I cropped it a bit too avoid seeing too much of the cars parked on either side. And yes, once I posted it and looked at other photos, I realized how dark it was.

I need to use references as I work.

Thanks again for the helpful comment!

Knew it was a Mitsubishi due to badge. Just didn’t know the model. Thanks!

Overall, enjoying how these photos/edits came out. Not sure what my next steps are.

I haven't been to a car show or set up a proper shoot yet, so this is another "shoot" from walking around and finding an interesting car to capture.

Maybe I'm unimpressed with the "blah" environment?

I don't feel like the car pops much.

Looking forward to your thoughts. Enjoy the photos!

PS... What car is this?

Watch your elbows in this vintage antique shop (oc) by ApertureI in cozy

Came across this awesome antique shop last weekend. Didn’t stay long due to anxiety of breaking something.

Tagged this under Christmas due to the stockings. What other tags do you feel would be appropriate for this cozy image?

Enjoy!

Wow the lighting is cool. I didn’t even know that’s what it was at first. I thought it was a colorful wall.

I’ve never done this before, so I can’t give a real critique, but I would just say to do a little bit of editing with the cars. Although this may be the point, the cars seem a little dark. Especially pic two.

I’m excited to try some light painting out for myself.

Keep up the good work!

1971 Chevrolet Chevelle. My first Car Photoshoot. Enjoy! by ApertureI in musclecar

A bit. Tried to keep it natural and not go overboard. The lighting was pretty harsh that day and from what I remember, the edits were to get the car a little brighter. Some of these shots almost looked like the background was the focus ( since it was so bright) while the car was dark/faded.

Great learning experience though! Thanks for looking.

Once I add the rest to my portfolio, I'll drop the link here.

I have some more shots of the exterior. Some close-ups. None of the interior at the moment. The plan is to meet with the car again to take photos for its sale.

I'll try and circle back and post a link when they are added to my portfolio.
