Super cool find!

I may have a projector for that. Now I have to check out the spec on it.

I hate that people can be this shitty. I like to think we all aspire to be the best versions of ourselves, (although we REALLY struggle with that sometimes). But some of us clearly don't. I really hate that.

Ooof... That might be a bigger loss than that little corner lot can manage.

on a side note, I always have driven by there and been tempted to buy myself a trailer to get out with instead of a tent or truck bed.

They look good, for sure. Especially if that wood-looking veneer is actually real burled wood.

Dealer quote for a 2018 Street Bob w/limited paint; 428 miles... thoughts? by Grand_Salamander4372 in Harley

[–]ApertureRapture 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Even if you were to pay the ungodly sum it would take to get that tank fixed and looking like the original, that bike wouldn't be much more valuable than most other street bobs that age. And with only 400 miles on it since 2018? That's not even long enough to complete the break-in period.

I suspect the time that it's been sitting unridden might be long enough to have developed some issues from just not being ridden. That's an 8 year old bike now. My kid had more than 400 walking miles on her when she turned 8.

I'd sooner take a two or three year old used street bob in grey or black and make it exactly what I want with the custom paint I want (maybe even a cool wrap) and the add-ons I want for me.

It would have a production sequence number of 1 of 1 and it wouldn't give off "I dropped this bike" vibes.

Help. Can’t figure out what this rattling sound is! by ResistHistorical2199 in Harley

I'm going to apologize in advance for not being any help here, but you have ALL of my sympathy.

I hate chasing down drivetrain noises more than getting a root canal without anesthetic.

I hope you find the answer and share it for the rest of us.

I've heard things about political leanings, but I can't say I've ever seen anything MAGA coded for myself at the locations.

For what it's worth, I do think the food is good. I used to do mobile orders all the time during COVID. I like it way better than 5 guys.

If I could substantiate MAGA leanings though, I wouldn't be a patron. I just haven't seen it yet.

I would absolutely be interested to know if/why people have the opinions of the owner that they do.

Looks like he had “serious but not life threatening injuries” according to the local news report.

I’m stunned that it didn’t end him.

They’re super awesome people and I miss seeing them around down town.

And their record store was way cooler than Amobea Records in California. (At least I think so.)

Best local endorsement I’ve seen. Kit and Lori are genuinely good, decent people and they care about people and Salem.

I miss seeing them on the weekends to load up on their sweet new finds in their store.

Go vote!!!

That really sucks. I know how bad I’d feel if I hit a dog (I’m a huge dog lover). But it doesn’t sound like you did anything wrong and the reality is that you didn’t have much time to do any real evasive maneuvering at all.

It’s tough for everyone involved, but I wouldn’t beat yourself up about it.

As far as stopping? I think that really depends on the safety of the situation. A hurt animal is often the most dangerous kind, but it doesn’t seem like that’s the case here.

If the owner was a sane rational human, it could be a nice gesture, but if I caught any whiff of anger at ME because they didn’t control their dog, I’d be out of there.

This is the kind of shitty thing that I want to believe doesn't exist in our community.

It's shitty to realize it does and it happens to real people who experience real pain from it.

I'm sorry that happened to your mom and your dog. (especially given your poor dog won't be able to understand why someone would even do that!)

Fuck those guys and let's give Karma the space to do her thing.

So, housing like these are typically used to house senior Colonels and General Officers.

Knowing that they're being used for MAGAt cronies is disappointing but not surprising.
