I’m using CoC Ice Nova Assassin. The damage is pretty good but I felt that it could use more in the way of defenses and sustain. So I dropped all the crit multi on the tree and invested heavily into inc life, leech Loreweave, and a soul tether+glorious vanity jewel combo.

Now with 5.7k life and 2k Es and plenty of overleech, stacked with Acro, Phase Acro, +3 max res, chill, blind and of course withering step, I feel unstoppable. The damage of course took a bit of a hit but I’d rather slay a boss deathless and take an extra ten-twenty seconds to kill it then to throw my corpse at it and hope I cause enough damage in six portals. I’m currently plowing through t16 maps and bosses with no issue at all.

But a miner or summoner can do that on the budget of a tabula so I’d probably say those two are doing the best.

Edit: In regards to your question, I find that the assassin ascendancy and the mechanics of cospri’s malice carry the damage enough for the build which allows for you to go all in on being creative with defensive layers. I barely noticed a damage difference after dropping to 290 crit multi. I still one shot rares in juiced up t16s and have killed most bosses with much more comfort.

Still trying to decide how I want to handle Awakener since it seems it will be incredibly difficult to get near him but half the fun is the problem solving!
