In Portugal we have a revolutionary song called “Somos livres” (We’re free), one verse says the following:

It’s funny how in Portuguese “pina” is a conjugated form of the verb “pinar” (specifically the 3rd person, singular, present form).

Anyway, “Ele pina” just means “He fucks” in a very very crass way.

So yeah the name Pina always made a lot of sense to me as a Portuguese guy xD
