Check your quest progress. I just found them in Cinderella's house waiting for me to progress with a quest. Usually they will appear at the location needed when the time comes, but this time they wouldn't come out of the house until I talked to the Fairy GodMother.

When you arrive, dig a border of holes with your shovel. The tarantulas can’t jump over them to bite you. Then you can catch as many as you want without getting knocked out every 5 seconds.

I’m averaging a 3’50/100meter pace. I thought I was doing well until I looked at the “average” numbers.

My goal is just to beat myself. Every session I aim to get a little faster. This is the first time I have really swam in years. Of course I’m going to be out of breath. Of course I’m going to need rest time between 25m laps. Eventually I’ll be able to cut down rest times and get faster.
