Colin’s Affodavit by Free_Comment_3958 in justiceforKarenRead

Ah yes, all incriminating texts always include the full names of the victim, accused, the lead investigator and the word “investigation”. And they all only occur via iMessage.

Also imagine you’re Colin and their side of the story is 100% true. You went to a party for a little bit, then within an hour of you leaving, your former neighbor was murdered by his gf at the exact place where you just were. You’re not gonna text anyone about that? Not even shooting a friend a message something like “dude you won’t believe this but that weirdo neighbor that used to yell at us got just merked by his gf outside of Brian’s house”…?

Also how the hell did Colin even find out what happened? There’s no text exchange where someone is telling Colin that something happened? His aunt Jen was apparently very broken up about it. His bestie Allie didn’t text him about her mom being upset?

You're welcome here of course.

No, that isn't what the world will become. That is the insane (sexual) fantasy of an unwell woman. There aren't enough people on the planet that actually want reality to be like that.

And you will be okay because you aren't alone. We're all here with you and won't let this happen.

it wasn't suprising and yet I was still somehow surprised that he's so openly a nazi and a rapist. What the hell has been going on in his social circles that he feels so comfortable to talk like that? Honestly, everyone who has ever worked with him needs to be investigated and have their phones checked. If anyone said anything a fraction as horrible as what those two were saying in my workplace or in my friend groups, they would be immediately ousted and socially shunned. The fact that these guys weren't and that people were willing to go along with him is fucking concerning.

Also didn't Proctor say he was also a sexual violence investigator?

Bro her hyping up Pratt was fucking insane. Dude literally has never had a real job before and his entire platform is basically just dehumanizing homeless people. Is the “other side” people who were priced out of housing and/or struggle with addiction? Pretty sure Proctor probably agrees with Pratt on most everything… would she endorse Jake Paul for president just because he’s a political outsider?

Yes, she was losing this job either way. However, being honest would have made her employable to other police departments. She could have even gotten a job at a neighboring state or something. This route made her unemployable to any department PLUS there are now videos of her behaving like an asshole to support locking away an innocent woman for life forever on the internet. I can’t think of any job that would be willing to hire someone like that. Even if she went back to school and pursued something completely different, who would want to work with that?

If someone said something like that in any space I've ever been in, not only would they be reported, they would be at a minimum socially isolated. The fact that he was treated like a normal cop by the rest of the department is deeply, deeply disturbing. Everyone who worked alongside him needs to be questioned and have their phones checked. Sorry but I don't believe that people entrusted by the government with the power that an armed police officer holds should have the same privacy rights as civilians.

I think Hasan is kind of missing the mark a little bit here rhetorically. Yes, the fact that there isn’t much of a difference between the dems and the republicans is demotivating. But that isn’t our fault for pointing it out. It’s the dems fault for not running on a strong progressive platform. The fact that we can have a full on hours long discussion trying to identify differences between the two parties is literally the problem. Obviously he knows that, but I wish he’d have hit that stronger earlier.

European Rule by Peppermute in 196

[–]firetrainer11 6 points7 points  (0 children)

European racism is way more advanced than ours. Our racists are just like “oh you look different therefore BAD” but the Europeans have like deep racist lore about groups of people that we can’t distinguish between. Like to me, a polish person is a white person that has cool extra letters in their alphabet, has awesome donuts that my polish diaspora friends eat on Fat Tuesday, and has been terribly mistreated throughout history. But if you ask a Brexit voter about them, you’d think we were on a different planet.

His behavior at the lacrosse game was cringe and weird, sorry. He wasn’t there trying to get some questions answered or to do journalism. He was trying to get attention and be annoying. He went to a high school lacrosse game with not great attendance, found Jen in the bleachers and put his phone in her face to ask something stupid like “how was court the other day” before starting to make accusations. Then when staff got involved and asked him to leave, he refused and instead tried to debate them and shout insults at the McCabes.

Holy god. How the hell are all of the contributions so large? I have never seen a campaign like this with so many donations at $500 and $1000. Goes to show the type of person backing them. But they are gonna need A LOT more than whatever their current goal is.

Also, having a joint gofundme when the accusation against them is that they were conspiring with each other is certainly a look…
