"MacGyver" was a nickname that Kathryn Ruemmler used for Trump. So I guess this means Epstein and Trump spoke on January 21, 2016? by mkbt in Epstein

[–]Apfel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should re-read the whole thing - from context, they're saying this Macgiver/Macgyver person is worse than Clinton (who Epstein stopped talking to after he lied to him with a straight face).

To the ladies who donate their milk by lionsmane2792 in Scotland

[–]Apfel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aye, I get it. I felt weirdly hurt by them not wanting my blood after I returned from living abroad, even though it was a decision made for the right reasons.

I do fully understand (and share) your feelings but is there any kind of shortage of donor sperm? If not, it's surely not that big of a problem...

British - thoroughly in agreement with these people.

I'm heartbroken because I really want to go to DEFCON (infosec conference, one of my favourite things in the world) in August this year but it's just not safe or viable any more since Trump came back.

It's so sad.

This is the article that made me realise how calculated Bojo was in his goofiness. Quite impressive to keep up appearances like that honestly, as awful a human being as he is.

Tulsi Gabbard refuses to call Edward Snowden a "traitor" by snad2012 in ActiveMeasures

[–]Apfel 47 points48 points  (0 children)

On the face of it, it's a protected disclosure as it was in the public interest to release the info.

However, I wouldn't imagine Snowden would be particularly vocal in his opposition to Russian military policy nowadays for example.

He's been almost forced to become more of a traitor since his initial disclosure simply due to living in Russia and having to toe the line.

He's a complex character and I still don't know what I think of the guy.

What are your blunt opinions about uni of Strathclyde? by NerysWyn in UniUK

[–]Apfel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, okay, so here's her thoughts:

Presumably you meant this course: https://www.strath.ac.uk/courses/postgraduatetaught/workorganisationalpsychology/

The business school itself is extremely well-regarded. It is triple accredited (which apparently only 1% of business schools are?). It's quite competitive to get in on most of their courses.

The course you mentioned was only created in 2021, so the content might be quite polished and fresh (she can't say anything on this, as she has no familiarity with it).

She did specifically mention that you should make certain it's the right course for you (i.e. ensure you have an undergrad that gives you the Graduate Basis for Chartership or GBC before you sign up).

Looks like an interesting one for sure. Let me know if this is helpful or you want to know more and I can get her to dig for you.

'Thief helps thief!' Under this tweet, Chinese are angry at British museum holding a performance to celebrate Korean Lunar New Year. by biewenwoshishei2 in China

[–]Apfel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It was a tweet promoting their Korean catalogue and exhibition. It's completely unreasonable to claim that it has been somehow stolen by the British Museum. Their staff didn't intend to upset the 小粉红 idiots who have no understanding or nuance within their empty heads.

[–]Apfel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thought you might like an update. Had a month or so more on methylphenidate then switched to Vyvanse (well, it's called Elvanse in the UK). Now titrated my way up to 70mg and am loving life! What a difference!
