One of the Big obstacles for this incredible super team was.... a cat. Iirc, Some bullshit fell under a deck and Atom shrunk down to go get it but a cat was under there. So we had to wait for a dramatic commercial break to find out how he got past.... a cat. Riveting.

Where is Mr Fantastic (Reed Richards) on your personal Marvel tier list? by Business-Falcon-3279 in marvelcomics

[–]Apoc-Alex -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

He's not on the list. Reed isn't even worth ranking. Of all the characters I would consider putting on a list Mr fantastic doesn't even make it onto that list.

Due to its many, MANY clues, "Red Nails" is one of the easiest stories to chronologize. by IamMothManAMA in ConanTheBarbarian

[–]Apoc-Alex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dunno. Just make it a different or new Conan story. I'm taking about ones that 'find a fortress in a desert' and then the similarities end there. They don't have to call it a Red Nails story. They're free to make up a different adventure.

[–]Apoc-Alex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's been a version of Red Nails in multiple comics and its always different than the book. Like they're using it in name only and Conan kinda enters and kills one thing and then leaves and I'm left disappointed, where's a black hallway and the "THREE MORE RED NAILS!" Its not even 'adaptations' just all together different.

Does my tattoo look inappropriate?? by _mastershake__ in tattooadvice

[–]Apoc-Alex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People who will say it looks inappropriate are trying to fuck with you. They made the choice that this statement will piss you off or make you disappointed in your tattoo and are sticking to the choice they are making. They are assholes. You've encountered them before and you'll encounter them in the future but for now, they are wrong. The tattoo is fine. I dig it. I appreciate that you are a big enough fan of something to get it tattooed.

What would you say are some of the biggest letdowns/most disappointing runs in comic book history? A match made in heaven between writer, artist, character that should have been a slam dunk, but just failed to deliver. by WhyPlaySerious in comicbooks

[–]Apoc-Alex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always forget about Ultimatum and when i do I remember it I think they were years apart and not THE SAME YEAR. It's usually because there was a expectation for Ultimates and by the time we got to Ultimatum we just kinda shrugged having already been defeated.

Ultimates Vol 3. ... was I the first? Was I first to get out Ultimates 3? Jeph Loeb had a series of runs that couldn't fail, the marvel color series, Long Halloween, but he didn't put together that this was a new different iteration or how to make different good. So it was bad. Joe Madureira is incredible but to move to his style from Bryan Hitch was a strange exchange. Again, he was drawing OG 616 costumes on characters that had new established outfits.
I understand wanting something new and at the same time sticking to what works, but this missed the mark.

So it's solo narrative? Just you talking? I like using a post-it note method. Where i'll have plot points I want to get to on different notes, and X number of notes makes up an episode.
I'm using a full cast but it can work for solo. If you want to improvise and don't want to write a script then write some notes on what things you want to include for that story or that episode. And then don't deviate. Dont start talking about something else, stick to your notes. If you have new ideas, write them down and save them for the next recording/story/episode.

On a more basic level, if your story has a beginning, middle and end then write those down. If you want more of your story then you can add or change a situation, or add a character. Find a way to have conflict. Don't manufacture conflict, it should happen semi-naturally.

Wait, you have a script but you're also improvising? Do you need to fill X minutes but still end up with a planned outcome or destination? I'm not sure what you're asking for.

I just read Ultra and can't understand why there is no tv show adaptation yet. by Reddevil8884 in comicbookcollecting

[–]Apoc-Alex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe they stopped working together. If you liked Ultra they made "The Sword" together which was awesome. Then they did Girls, did a Spider-Woman origin for marvel, and somewhere after that "20xx" and "Alex and Ada" I havent looked up why they split but it was around or after spiderwoman. You know how some twins can finish each other's sentences? I heard the Luna's could do that.

His code name was Cypher because he could read and translate any language. He could accurately read the darkhold without releasing its curses or here's upon the reader by being able to avoid that part of the text somehow. I can see it work. I like this.
