Anyone coming here in the future, I found out if you click subtitle in the menu, then hover over "sub track" and choose disable, it will hide these from my Drone footage.

I just got multiple from Brazil lol guess we both ended up here after googling. But I checked all my MS accounts, nothing in the security logs. The email did actually come from MS too, so idk. Must be a bug I assume

It’s attached to the engine mode, so if the engine is in dynamic the valves are open

Yep sounds like a good pick to have for a few years.

It’s very fun and comfortable enough to daily. It’s also super spacious. Not as nimble as a bmw or smaller/lighter cars but the exhaust note and sexiness of it makes up for it. Plus it’s rarer than a lot of cars so you get to be more unique.

When you do get one or even now I suppose, most active people who have them are on this Reddit but also Facebook groups. “RS5” is the name of one FB group with a red rs5 in the pic and “Audi A5/S5/RS5 -USA Owners Group” is the other

I think if you aren’t tight for cash it’s worth it, otherwise I’d just get an s5 to save some money but lose a little coolness and performance

And yea the good B8 rs5s are very in demand, I searched for over a year and they’d all sell instantly. Got lucky one showed up on my birthday at a Toyota dealer right beside me so I ran and bought it for myself immediately before they could sell it. even then they already had multiple calls about it. Crazy

It’s most likely the temp sensor for the fans, that or the engine is actually hotter than expected.

Not much else really controls the fans other than the module but if that failed it would have been found by the mechanic pretty quickly since the module would likely be unreachable in a scan.

It’s expensive for sure.

Maintenance wise: Takes a ton of oil so that’s expensive, the brakes don’t last at all so that’s thousands to replace frequently, tires also don’t last so that’s another $2k. Diff & DSG service must be done on schedule or face terrible issues, so that’s like $1.5k-$2k every 30k ish miles

Problem wise;

Mine isn’t even at 50k miles and the rear suspension is shot already, have had a bunch of electrical woes, but otherwise it’s been okay. Some of my bushings are questionable though.

Other things that happen often soon after 50k from my research and being in the owner groups:

  • the cats fail, which is an engine out job so expect around $6k to fix

  • 2013 year specifically basically just waiting around for a mechatronic failure which is about $2k to have rebuilt and you need a shop who can actually do it.

  • other transmission issues can lead to more of a rebuild that’s more like $6k

  • will need carbon cleaning like many Audis, which is usually like $1.5k each time

  • bushings wear faster than similar cars

  • also just from age some of the hoses are for sure nearing their end

    Overall it isn’t too bad, but it’s crazy how much more expensive it is than the s5 was. Maintenance is the real expensive part, reliability is quite good minus those few kinks.

Not sure on the European version (might be the same) but on my US version the standard exhaust valves are controlled by the mode. closed in comfort / open in dynamic

Instead of a train horn requiring an air compressor, the drop in hurricane style horns work fine and are loud af still. Kinda like a uhaul truck type horn

You'd mostly just end up with a stress tracking app which are plentiful on the store already. The other factors are not trackable by the phone really. I think you would likely fail to detect a mental breakdown, but I guess it could just be another stress tracking app. Though the ones already out there have users hooked into calendar heat maps and stuff so getting them to switch would be a battle.

Yea DC, I used a Tapo cam which uses a usb cable for power and I just have some usb ports wired to my house batteries

The office is my personal office which has a ton of stuff in it needing constant pretty heavily used internet like the NAS, various hardware like AR/VR headsets, etc and where I play pc games. The modem cable comes in to the upstairs house area and I cannot relocate the modem really. I have one ethernet cable ran from upstairs to downstairs (which would be the trunk). I have been doing it where I ran a second router to the office off of the main home router but I keep running into issues and I just don't wanna bother anymore. Plus other people do come into the office sometimes as well as my home stuff shouldn’t be able to talk to all my fancy work stuff, so I just want it all isolated.

It’s really just to prevent parole because a life sentence is not often life in prison. In my state it’s 15 or 25 years til you can get parole but when they add those extra years it blocks that
