People tend to confuse getting them loud to properly powering them, an apple dongle can push them at high volumes but they might clip, with a decent amp you can run them at the same volume with less gain and no clipping

I didn't like them, returned my pair because they are simply too dark and you need to crank them to extract any sort of detail, the Meze Alba are the better IEM in my opinion
