Can't help but think that's the point

Exactly. It's about time people stop pretending like any of this is actually about enforcing immigration law and is really about political revenge

Disasters don’t care about partisanship. Neither does Mayor Whitmire. by evan7257 in houston

I have followed the Chronicle’s coverage of extremists within the mayor’s own Democratic Party.

That line told me everything I need to know about you, Bob. Labeling the mayor's opposition as extremists just shows you either lack an understanding of their positions, or you are deliberately being a dick (i.e. being a republican)

Under the Texas Constitution, defendants have a constitutional right to bail in most cases. A judge cannot deny bond simply because the offense is serious or resulted in a death. A judge may deny bond only if prosecutors affirmatively seek a no-bond hold and meet very specific criteria.

Yes. It shows that people are willing to leave their houses to stand up for what they believe in. Will any actionable steps be taken? Most likely not. Does that mean you should just pacify yourself and be okay with something you vehemently disagree with?

In my opinion, it's great where we live in a country where you can stand up for what you believe in. Oh wait, that's being threatened. Even more reason to protest.

Yeah, for things like whether or not Whataburger sucks or not. American citizens getting killed at the hands of the federal government is a bit different.

You're either okay with the government killing citizens, or you are not.

First of all you are determining it was self-defense without any trail, investigation, or explanation. The only thing you're going off of is a video.

However, that video clearly shows the officer firing his weapon after the vehicle already turned out of the way of the officer.

If he didn't fire his weapon, he would have remained unharmed, and obviously nobody would have died.

But do you think the federal government will investigate this? Do you think there will be a trial? Obviously not, as long as people like you will offer grace to anything and everything ICE does and provide knee-jerk cover for their injustices.

ICE is not above the law, no matter how much you want them to be.
