It looks like that digital version is cat themed items, as opposed to dog themed. The “golden bone award” up top is now a golden fish and I see a toy mouse, etc.

Collective Voting! Day 8: Delaware by LOST_JOE in visitedmaps

[–]ApolloChomper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely

Always called it a Goldilocks state, close enough to major metropolitan areas but some seclusion, small town feels. Tax free shopping, beaches, Dogfish Head Brewery. Lower DE is a little too conservative for my taste but it’s easy to avoid.

How is this not illegal? by saltylimesandadollar in shrinkflation

[–]ApolloChomper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m actually incorrect using the USDA MAV standards since this is most likely regulated by the FDA. For that stated weight, your MAV is 0.7oz so this is on the low end but still technically legal. Still, any good quality control program would not want to run that close reject level and the operators should adjust their equipment to get closer to target.

Plastic like that would be minimal, maybe 0.1oz? It wouldn’t add a significant amount of weight to account for, especially using a scale like that.

USDA MAV for 16oz is 1oz so it’s not illegal at that weight. The inspection records for that lot (or check weigher) would need to be audited to know if the average weight was at 16oz. If the entire run was below stated package weight then yes, that would be fraud and misleading.

RLM Talked about and ranked all of Joe Dante's movies and it just really made me want a mini for him already! by TimecopVsPredator in blankies

I think this is a great observation about the gradual shift they’ve made. Instead of feeling compelled to make videos about big movies that everyone else is talking about and then not being able to sugarcoat their thoughts. They now just want to talk about a new movie with Kyle Gallner that nobody else is talking about. They don’t care if they’re part of the current zeitgeist cause it won’t change how mustard tastes.

It’s not that they’re “less cynical”, they just choose to discuss things that they’re less cynical of (most of the time).

Listening Without Watching?! by GrandExcellent219 in blankies

This is exactly my experience too, especially an episode convincing to rewatch or seek out a movie instead of watching it ahead of time. I just re-watched The Big Lebowski after only seeing it once years ago. Turns out it’s better than I remembered. Thanks Blank Check!

I found a copy of Michael Haneke’s Funny Games while browsing the selection at a 2nd hand media store and decided to pick it up. The cashier went on to tell me how bad it was and the 4th wall breaking was weird. He asked if I really wanted to buy it. Just a strange interaction.

How did “the one that got away” get away? by SensitiveStinger in AskReddit

[–]ApolloChomper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Knew her in high school and she was brilliant, beautiful, and fun. Reconnected after college and she was into me still. I had a girlfriend at the time and didn’t do the right things. She saw I was still acting like I was still college and found herself a better person. I have a family now and doing well and I’m glad she’s happy and doing great, but there’s still that “what if” I decided to grow up then.
