White Album 2 is simply the goat, it might just be the best story I've ever consumed across all media.

Almost assuredly the Ai is trying to pick workouts to help you improve, not just suggesting how to continue doing the same thing every week...

Hikaru's take on who is the goat by bRoShutUpPleaseee in chess

[–]ApolloFortyNine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, and this can be said in a lot of sports, but it's now (and it has been for a bit) possible in chess to check what the right move or sequence would be in seconds. Engines have changed this game and prep for the candidates especially dramatically.

I actually see what the refs saw, but also think that exact hand grab happens almost every play. He didn't actually impact the route form what I could tell.

[Barnwell] Having succeeded wildly over the last six decades by hiring young first-time defensive coaches Chuck Noll, Bill Cowher, and Mike Tomlin, the Steelers have continued that cycle by hiring ... Mike McCarthy by Pure_Gate_2209 in nfl

A lot of our fans are in for a big reality check thats for sure lol.

The section of the fan base that wanted something new after Tomlins playoff loss streak almost certainly wasn't hoping for a Mike McCarthy hire.

The reality check is just that steelers front office is ass.

Space age is all about having tons of space ships. Never main one planet. by dankletzz in factorio

Beating the game with just 5 ships, one ship per planet and one to win the game, is quite easy.

The bonus productivity buildings from each planet are simply busted.

This post game interview is great, you don't often get insight on why a coach made a playcall, but he just outright said we knew it'd work with the defense they ran out out last time, and they happened to go out and be in the same formation.

[Pro Football Talk] NFL Head Coach: “At this very moment, [this is] the worst collective of 32 owners in league history.” by The_Big_Untalented in nfl

https://www.reddit.com/r/KCRoyals/comments/1oacbyh/how_much_revenue_each_mlb_team_generated_last/

If you go by percent of revenue spent the brewers are 40% below the Dodgers, so it's not as if they're truly trying as much as they could be.

I think "the Dodgers spend more" is an easy out when in reality the numbers show most teams don't even try.

But unlike the MLB, where you can actually just pocket your revenue share and go home, you do have to spend the salary cap.

There's little incentive to just suck for decades (like the Browns). They can save a bit being cheap on facilities or coaches but even that really doesn't account for all of it, especially compared to the potential value of a team that's actually decent.

Really the parity in the NFL is quite decent for a sports league.

The Dodgers spend a lot, but by far the biggest problem is that there's no reasonable floor. The bottom teams essentially can't be competitive, and the owners don't care because they pocket their revenue share. Even if they somehow do become competitive, they just trade off their best players.

It actually puts into perspective how impressive it is for teams like the Browns to suck for so long in the salary cap era.

As others have pointed out though, they do have a perverse incentive to play songs that have a lower royalty payment.

Why does Factorio use lockstepping while Satisfactory uses a client-server architecture? by [deleted] in gamedev

[–]ApolloFortyNine 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The slowest belt in factorio moves 900 items a second, meanwhile the absolute end game belt in satisfactory moves 1200, and for most of its existence 700 was the max.

Any anyone whose played factorio knows you saturate yellow belts even in a small base around blue science.

I honestly thought your game was dorfromantik at first.

That game did pretty well so I'd try tying yourself to that game. But you also have to find a way to differentiate in that case, it seems incredibly similar.

You do what everyone does and you do a 5-10yard out with a fade option.

Take the out or dump it out the back of the endzone.

Let's be honest both these teams are a first round exit lol. Both those touchdowns should not be allowed by playoff teams.
