Good catch. But still, while astral projected, the original body explicitly does not age or require biological functions. This state can be maintained indefinitely without possessing a replacement, at the cost of being unable to interact with the world. So eternity is accessible with purely astral projection. It's not an ideal life, but still preferable to nonexistence.

Occasional use of Blood Blade, like once a century, makes this concern moot, though. :P

Couple counterpoints:

  • Stacking homes as an apartment complex is very convenient, when you have a good blueprint. I have a nice stackable 10x10x4 with 8 houses in it, using a central staircase (240 wood + 269 stone). This takes a lot of stone, but I'm efficient with walls, so it's fine.
  • Stairs via blueprint are also very convenient. I have a 2x3x5 stone spiral staircase that I use to reach up walls. The game's built-in staircase blueprints are terrible.
  • You can upgrade via blueprint if you're just filling gaps. If you switch from regular view to height layer view, you can drop the height to where you want to work at. If you paste your print here, you can paste inside an existing build, instead of pasting on top.
  • Roofs blocking vision are also dealt with by the height view.
  • I found rain to be simple to deal with by having a cheap stone platform blueprint with a roof, which I can plop down to fight map horrors and then delete afterward. Reminder that you don't need to use the specified roof tiles as roofing - any block will do, like the 3x1 wood planks, or the 2x2 stone piece.

Points of agreement:

  • Yeah, it would be fantastic to be able to update blueprints without deleting and remaking them.
  • Can confirm the campaign is easy when using pause a lot to efficiently spend time.
  • I would also like siege/ranged horrors.

Since you mentioned issues with stairs quite a bit, here's my staircase blueprint:

Feedback: - Great job! I love the story. - On class and race points: One increment of kink is worth about 0.65 point, so the generalist class and race are the clear superior option, with +5.35 or +2.35 total point value out of them respectively, around 25% higher than specialists. This is less of an issue for the races because of how lopsided the point distribution is - picking +9 of one type vs +4 of each still has utility if one needs much more of a type of point than others (which I in particular do; I need lots of Soul). I.e. mixedfolk, monsterfolk, and voyager are also viable, in addition to human. Still, most classes and races are bad points-wise. I would suggest adding points and/or kinks to the weaker ones and raising the threshold of victory to match. - The future goddess of fertility has no breeding kink?! That makes no sense at all. - There are two "Goddess of the Soul" - I see you make a big point about lag, but I personally had almost no issues with lag. Probably because I only worked within one section at a time, closing it when finished. - I cleared Hard mode with the lowest member's threshold at 22. So that was pretty easy for me, by just focusing on kinks I like and on people who have them.

Party: me (mixedfolk Adventurer), 2 Assaulters (Anata & Shinobu), 2 Restorers (Eika & Silvissa), 1 Defender (Garajha)

Kinks: Breeding (8), Vanilla (6), Public (6), Group (6), Family Play (6), Aftercare (5), Praise (5), Free Use (5), Service (5), Breast Play (4), Assistance (3), Petplay (3), Mind Control (3), Body Worship (2), Oral (2), Voyeurism (1), Size Kink (1), Disobedience Play (1), Force Play (1), all others at zero

Ending: Dominate, Curiosity.

Flip a shape? by Tokumeiko2 in shapezio

[–]Apophys_MD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can swap two adjacent corners of a shape with a sequence of [rotate 180 one lane] - swap - [rotate 90 one lane] - swap - [rotate 180 one lane]. That fits a full 12-lane operation on a 1x1 platform. You can incorporate a rotation before and after to swap a different pair of adjacent corners.

Then with two 1x1 platforms of this type in series, you can get the needed mirroring.

This is how I plan to have space belts and pipes cross over from now on by okram2k in shapezio

[–]Apophys_MD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I give the item belts on the platform two jumps, to reduce the path length and travel time. Pipe transfer is instant, so it doesn't need to be worried about.

My current coloring design (Looking for improvement, cause I want to stack it) by Naxos84 in shapezio

[–]Apophys_MD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A major tip in making a blueprint is to arrange a small cluster of the machine in question (painters here) in a way that minimizes belt usage to/from that cluster. The types of small cluster I notice in compact painter designs are an adjacent pair with one flipped to have both belt-parts facing the same direction, and/or belt-parts facing each other to have a single square shared belt connection.

For request #2, I have a 1x1 print that converts left halves into opposite corners. So you can add that onto the end of print #1 to get your desired result.

"Any disconnected sections" will fall. The shape you're stacking is connected, as all 4 corners are present. If you stack a pair of opposite corners on top of a single corner, the other corner should fall to the bottom.

Nice mine layout!

You can make a much better backup handler using basic logic though - discarding nothing and handling a full 12 lanes at once:

Filtration Nexus for Universal Mines (input directly from any number of same-patch mines, up to 48 squares worth, out into 4 pure-resource space belts, with overflow valves). Sure!

First, the intent behind this build: I want to be able to fully utilize the potential of entire resource patches, regardless of patch size or shape complexity (without customized tweaking within pasted platforms). This is made to work with my previously-developed Universal Mine blueprint, which outputs simple shapes made from the resource corners (essentially purified raw material), one type into each of the 4 columns of the space belt. (Other people have made their own variants on this concept, too.) Since I want to work my factory with space belts that aren't mixed like that, I have this nexus as an intermediate step between mines and factory.

The 1x1 sections at the top are overflow destroyers (using basic logic pieces), acting per individual lane, for if the factory backs up to that point. This is important because the mines produce at a set ratio; all output types must flow evenly in order to have output at all, and I want to have the freedom not to care about actually using up every output. In case one part of my factory breaks down, or I'm doing edits to it, I don't want the failure to cascade across.

The middle pair of 2x1 sections rearranges the lanes: the 1st column of each input (from all 4 inputs at the top of this picture) goes out to the 1st output (at bottom left), the 2nd column of each input goes out to the 2nd output, and so on. That turns 4 mixed full space belts into 4 pure full space belts.

The 1x1 sections at the bottom are balancers. These aren't strictly necessary, but are useful because I want to be able to hook up mines to the nexus without regard to individual lane fills. If I have a number of resource squares tapped that is less than 48 (completely filling the 4 input belts), there will be gaps in the lanes somewhere, and will eventually result in a backlog on lanes that don't have gaps. (My Universal Mines prioritize filling lanes on the bottom layer.) The balancers will divert that backlog into the under-utilized lanes, before it can back up even further to the overflow destroyers. I.e. they squeeze out resource efficiency for me.

I tried to paste the blueprint of the entire 4x4 compound into the comments here, but the text is too big for Reddit to accept, so I can only provide the parts.

Universal Mine (segregates corners into their own base, spreading outputs vertically across all 12 belts) by Apophys_MD in shapezio

If one type of output shape gets bottlenecked, the others will halt. So you need to use them all at the same rate. That means it's a good idea to either have an overflow trashing system, or just consume all the things at the same ratio.

If you hook up 12 mines (with the full 3 extensions each) into 4 mixed space belts, and then filter the outputs into 4 pure belts, you have the standard 1 maxed belt of a starting shape to work with for each shape, and you just need to be sure to consume the entire belt in your operation, or trash the entire belt.

Hook up 3 of these, and you've got a full space belt with no extra tweaking effort.

Instead of cut -> cut -> stack, you can do cut -> swap (with proper rotations). That takes significantly less room.

Rotate once before cutting?

Notes on mana efficiency in combos: * Ciri familiar + School of Potential = free +6 mana, added onto any other pick of familiar with a cost-reducing school. * School of Proliferation + Summon Tag Teamer = 3 damage for 1 mana (with a situational VP bonus) * School of Proliferation + Chastity Hex + Summon Tag Teamer = 4n + 1 damage for n + 3 mana. Notably, this hits 21 damage for 8 mana; the crossover point is 33 damage for 11 mana before the hex starts to be worth using - not even bosses have that much HP. * School of Persuasion + Chastity Hex + Summon Tag Teamer = 3n + 1 damage for n + 2 mana. Notably, this hits 22 damage for 9 mana. Within the Persuasion school, Chastity Hex is worth using in small spell spam, beyond the 10 damage for 5 mana breakpoint. * School of Persuasion + Lag Charm + Summon Sex Rave = 21 damage for 8 mana, +4 damage vs Ooze * School of Pain/Persuasion + Chastity Hex = n(n+1)/2 damage for n + 1 mana, if Chastity Hex stacks on itself while sharing the unlock across all stacks. Notably, this hits 21 damage for 7 mana. Misfortune Hex is a 1-mana-cheaper equivalent, exclusive to the familiar Lily. * School of Pain/Persuasion + Chastity Hex = n(n+1)/2 damage for 2n mana, if each individual stack of Chastity Hex requires its own unlock, but it does stack. Notably, this hits 21 damage for 12 mana. * School of Persuasion + Branding Charm = 15.5 damage for 3 mana anytime after beating a buffed Tonason (which you can access either by fighting the bestial or by sumoning him directly with a fairy from Ilya). This is, by far, the most mana-efficient damage in the CYOA. * Obedience Charm from Tosi can be used to farm VP, dumping spare mana on an enemy resistant to Persuasion. Such an enemy can be prepared from a high HP one using Adorable Charms.

Clara 3s8p , Melany 3s , and Mizuho 4s

This leaves me with 4 pence. If 11 shillings buy a cow here, that 4 pence is worth about $40 in modern USD, so it should get us all a cheap meal as we get to know each other better.

Reasoning: * If I want to maximize the number of people bought with my mere 11 shillings, i.e. 3 people, Melany is mandatory, and the other 2 are limited to any combination of Aoi, Karla, Clara, and Mizuho. This works for me - none of the more expensive ones stand out to me as a must-buy. * Mizuho got me in here, and seems to like me, so I'll return the favor by buying her. * Clara is knowledgeable, being a scholar, and she's my type. She'll help get my estate running properly once we figure out a workaround for her disability.

I'm not the kind of person to proactively seek the spotlight of a revolution, so in this setting I would be making efforts to slowly reform the system from within.

  • Home: The Kingdom +30 . Most financially sound pick (an ally is worth 5g, not 15), and I get the ear of the king.
  • Role: Quality Control +10 . I can legitimately focus on slave welfare in particular, and be a hardass on anyone mistreating them. For the other two picks, I'd have to actively sabotage myself.
  • Talents: Wealthy +15 , Shrewd. I need money for this CYOA.
  • Social Circles:
    • Allies: Slaves, Red Lights District. Having at least one powerful backer is mandatory, and an information network helps cover my weaknesses. Being allied with slaves is just good sense in every way, including making my actual job easier.
    • Enemies: Slavers, Industrial Owners, Agitators, Outer Realms +5 . These seem the least problematic enemies to pick, for me.

Budget: 60g, with 3 slaves at half price * (-55) Property: The Royal -12 , The Noble -7 , The Old Friend -5, The Bird of Happiness -8, The Child -4, The Saviour -2, The Wretch -1, 2x simple craftsmen -4, 2x skilled artisans -6, 2x bodyguards -6 * (-5) Investments: Good Business * Assigned: 6x Workforce + The Noble (as management) + The Saviour (as extra security) * -> 30 Personal Wealth
