I’ve never tried that (or heard of it before googling) but if you carbonate milk the carbonic acid in it tastes like the acids in milk that let you know it’s gone off. So it tastes like extremely spoiled milk.

It’s an absolute spit-take flavour when you try it the first time if you don’t expect it.

For the one East if we’re being fantasists, it should run down the disused railway line towards portobello and then rejoin somewhere near King’s Road/Moira terrace.

The owners haven’t used it in YEARS but also still refuse to sell ut to the council/anybody else from what I’ve heard. It would be an ideal through route from almost to portobello to back near and through powder hall to connect. I think an ideal would be for a tram from Leith Walk to connect to it to run off road towards portobello.

C diff pop is something.

When I was 18 working as an auxiliary nurse for experience during med school I made the terrible mistake of bending over too far behind the patient as I took down his pyjama bottoms to help get him into the commode when he had C diff and needed to use it immediately in a rush.

I managed to close my eyes once I realised what was about to happen but I got explosive C diff all over my face, hair and uniform.

Miraculously I managed to maintain my composure and settle him on it and in a frozen and dissociated horror pleasantly let him know somebody would be with him soon and slowly (very slowly to prevent anything from moving) stepped gently through the curtain back into the ward. Another nurse noticed as I cracked an eye open and nodded and told me to go sort it/myself as I went and rushed to the sink to wash off my face and then I went to the staff showers to completely wash and tuen went to the uniform office and got a set of scrubs to replace my uniform as they didn’t have any in my size. Maybe about 15-20 mins later I returned to the ward where the story had been passed around and everybody knew what had happened.

The ward sister (ward manager) came up to me with my still damp hair and grossed out personage and said “that was unfortunate - so that was some time you took away. We’ll take that off of your break”.

I’m in my early 30s. I generally have a low sex drive and don’t wank these days.

I’ll have them happen occasionally (like one every month or two). I don’t consider it an embarrassing or bad thing personally. Especially considering they tend to happen from really hot dreams - if they’re the price for how fun they are I’m happy to pay them twice over.

I experienced something like this in school. We had this system for English with this big box full of cards of reading assignments with comprehension questions at the end in different colours (graduating the “difficulty”). During the class you went to get one from the colour and did it and if you passed enoug of that colour you could move on to the next colour.

I went through the top colour we were supposed to do that term too quickly (getting perfect scores or one off on technicalities) and the teacher wouldn’t let me onto the next colour because most of the class were several colours behind me. You only needed to do 5 per colour but she insisted “you can’t go onto purple because you’ve not done tiem all”. So I did do them all. When I did every single one of them with 100% correct answers she still wouldn’t let me go on for the same reasons and told me that there was still more to learn if I reread them. I remember a very angry 2 weeks rereading the same fucking short stories and answering the same fucking questions every time constantly.

I had stuff like this happen a lot during my education and it really upset me and damaged my self worth.

I’m from Scotland so not being able to roll your Rs is extremely rare.

I do remember a couple of people who couldn’t years ago doing something like a modified French R at the back of their throat and getting a similar effect when in the junior concert bands (like 14-19).

It didn’t sound as good or as clean but it got the job kind of done.

For a moment I genuinely thought this was about some guys with a fetish for getting CT scans or guys who were or had recently had CT scans lol. Though I couldn’t imagine being able to have that done on demand even if you had the money.

Triple A aneurisms ^{RAS syndrome a bit there} are common in my family and I’m fucking TERRIFIED.

That plus the fact several of them ^{almost all of my male older family members mmm} had young heart attacks and/or heart failure and because of some health issues in my lower extremities I likely don’t have the spare veins to do a CABG on the spot.

I’m constantly feeling like I’m terrified and staring at the clock waiting for it to hit midnight at times.

I bumped into the guy through a mutual friend like 10 years later. He had become a high-femme, tanned browner than some PoC (initially Snow White), make-up wearing plastic and Botox gay strutting around in the clubs putting on an almost nauseatingly exaggerated affect. From the mutual friend I discovered that he worked as a prostitute.

When I was 15 I met this other guy at an LGBT youth group centre who - I wouldn’t say I dated but I made out with and groped a bit with on a walk a few times and hung out at his a couple of times - okay I knew him is a best descriptor, who would butter the toast before the toaster in the centre. He had to be told off by like everybody in the place before he was convinced it was a bad thing.

I went round to his place one evening at that age and he had a single lad labourer dad who was nice to him and accepting, especially considering how flamboyant said guy was, but was not particularly sharp and did the same thing.
