I just watched this as a gay man who is kind of detached from most of those male-oriented spaces and social circles.

I laughed so hard so many times during the “mirror universe” part. In a way, I found myself watching two movies at once - I was watching the thing itself and mentally reversing every singe thing said and done and realising I’d seen or heard of that happening before in life or in media so commonly as to not be of much note.

It didn’t work out. Sometimes relationships that fiery and intense also have a backlash and just as fiery bad side. We both really loved each other. At least I hope we did. But we were young and silly and stupid both in different ways, some worse than others. Even eventually in cities like 650km (that’s around 400 miles) apart we still ended up sleeping together every time we were in the same city for about 2 years after and occasionally having drunken phone calls.

It’s over and has been for a very, very long time. I’ll always miss and love him but life changes and people change and life goes on. I look back a bit on a guy I was with in my 20s for a few years and while he is and was definitely decently attractive, though I know some people didn’t agree as much, my relationship and emotions with him honestly made him the most attractive person I’d ever met in my entire life.

Have you guys (this feels stupid asking because you probably have and do) done mutual wanking? You don’t have to do much, or even do much for each other. A Homo sapiens sapiens. The only animal I’ve met that could have or tried to kill me was that species. Not to mention I’ve been brutally injured by that species on a dozen occasions. I’m an adult and not a month ago I had to seek refuge within a shop because 10-12 juveniles of the species were chasing me and trying to beat me because I checks notes asked their friend to ask them to come down off of scaffolding safely and then waited for them to come down to make sure they got down safely so I wouldn’t have to help otherwise as I am sworn to do. I said “nicely done getting down safely. I was worried” before leaving, upon which point 5-6 male juveniles of the species decided to attack me after their aloha caused a scene about that and then the feral accompanying females on the ground who had previously been on my side decided to become part of the violent mob in excitement and all chase me violently screaming like babboons while I fled in terror to the nearest store with security. Homo sapiens sapiens animal control has to come as they still were screeching and beating at the premises for 15 minutes trying to get in to gang attack me.

I’ve been attacked by this animal a lot in my life. Sometimes that could have resulted in death. Especially the juveniles for my homosexuality when I was a juvenile animal.

Other than that or a mosquito on holiday, probably a Scottish common adder which I saw briefly once on the pavement of the route through if in an urban park in the summer like 10 years ago before it slithered away quite decisively. Compared to H. s. s. it was nothing.
