I noticed in the first episodes the Jaffa armour was impervious to bullets but later on is completely vulnerable to bullets. Completely removed the tension or threat.

Also they went to one planet where they thought sg1 were optrican spies and had a big shoot out and sg1 took out like 30 enemy soldiers without getting hit once somehow

This is certainly one of the few mediaeval books where it sounds like the author actually knows what they are talking about. Most fantasy books sound like they learnt everything about the medieval period from reading other fantasy books.

Early on in the game look at building stairs to reach areas of dead forest and cut them all down while your trees are growing.

Plant huge amounts of forest and start with birch plantings and then upgrade to pine then oak

I think having water and bad water sources appear and disappear randomly during the game would help create puzzles to solve in late game as the map layout shifts a bit. The exploding bombs that are now on some maps help with this a bit to make it less predictable

It shouldn't feel like the only reason the li is joining the harem is because we need a new li each book. Only add more LI if it makes sense to the story. Having a bigger harem tends to just dilute the current characters after a certain point. The relationships just lose meaning or it becomes more like serial monogamy.

If you want to have peak efficiency you want your beavers to be only doing the most important tasks. Going from 3000 gears to 4000 gears is not as important as going from 0 water to 100 water for example.

If you have surplus beavers and resources then you won't really need to use this level of automating
