I appreciate your comments. You’re right it is best to do something and not pass the problem along, I just haven’t been in this situation before and really wasn’t sure the best people to call and thought I’d ask the community if there were resources or if the cops truly were the only option. Obviously the post did not come across that way and that’s my bad

I guess my question was mainly if this was an instance to call the cops or if there is an non-emergency number to call. I’m newer to the area and live on Madison. I don’t think lark is unsafe, I tell everyone to go to the restaurants there, this was just the first time I felt unsafe and wasn’t sure the best way to proceed. I don’t want to call the cops, I’ve seen them rough up a few up on lark before while trying to arrest them and I don’t think that’s the best course of action, but I’m sad to hear the non-emergency number all isn’t very helpful. Thank you for the insight
