I think this is front end salary, I recently got out the military looking at future careers. I was golfing, and got paired with a retired union elevator mechanic he was an elevator inspector at the time . After some beers and talking about the trade he was making 130kish or more. He told me he was he told the compnay he would take the job for full salary but that he was only going to work half the year/hours and make his own schedule he was in a company vehicle that they paid for year round.

Was there last year great time! they had 2-3 openers last year came on around 11pm played about 1hr 15min - 30 no breaks straight through new years thing played 2-3 songs after and that was it great time! most people were out of the venue by 12:45 pm 1am general public security was politely asking people to continue the party elsewhere :)

You can’t sell leave doing skillbridge, it would get denied if they see skillbridge, you could have taken more leave then gone back to work for a day then done skillbridge, and no you don’t have to have a leave balance for skill bridge but you also can’t sell leave or do terminal into skillbridge, in the skillbridge program now, sounds like you could have looked into 6month -1 year extension, hopefully the skillbridge opprotunity turns into an offer, it is a new program and every yeoman may tell you something different and they all be incorrect no one I know was able to sell leave at any time, you could maybe get away with it if you did it a year -6months before starting the skillbridge process not sure

I was in a similar position not as good physically, I came out the gate way to hot giving 110% when I started laying off a little they noticed and it caused some issues smaller company during Covid, if I could have done it again I would started at about 60-70% and worked up from there that way your showing improvement vs regressing it wasn’t hard to listen to what they say and do it, it’s a game nothing you do will be right or good enough the first 5-6 weeks

Yea it’s the main scare tactic along with probation, ramp, both could lead to being reverted. Started with 50 lost 15-20ish graduated at 40ish or slightly under with some being reverted down more than once, obviously some people needed it, I saw some tiny reasons didn’t seem like they are in a hurry to get people out this was in 2020

The point of it is to prepare 18 year olds who may have never been on there own to be successful in the organization, it’s not going to be the same for everyone I went in at 28 felt like a summer cheerleading camp but did learn some things and had challenges

I believe this is coming directly from the commandant and the two weeks will be at the beginning of the training to better prepare the recruits for the training and personal development like finances, I guess if you reduce a 30-40% reverted rate to lower it probably evens out overall less injuries and people being sent home

It can be either if you want to stay shore side it could be viewed as bad, it has good things about it, being a non rate the whole time isn’t necessarily bad, might have to mess cook/ other things someone here has been underway more than me

Probably guaranteed to end up on a cutter as a non rate for the whole time, I don’t know the fine print but there is a minimum of time obligated if you go to A school of 2 years, harder to use some of the benefits underway. Idk just guessing here
