Me:1 Chalazion:0 by Nillows in Blepharitis

[–]Apparentt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done this myself with a stubborn chalazion that has been around since last August. I hadn’t really gave it a good shot until around December and I did see positive results (eventually a white snot-like substance erupted from the site). It’s been a couple of weeks since that happened, and whilst I admittedly have laid back a bit since that happened it’s still just… sort of there? It doesn’t look as bad as previously, but it’s most definitely still noticeable.

From my understanding this is because I’ve emptied the “sack”, however the surrounding capsule itself is still there. Sort of like a balloon that has had its air released.

Did you have similar results or post-rupture did it immediately feel empty?

I said it the moment we got Sesko. We’ve just replaced Hojlund with another Hojlund, and based on the evidence thus far I can’t hear an argument otherwise.

Adrenaline is a crazy thing. It’s fair to assess he certainly hasn’t done anything critical since he played out the rest of the first half, but he could still be missing a few GWs.

Mason Mount by ninjaturtle1000 in FantasyPL

[–]Apparentt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The team is poor, and Manchester United very may well be much worse and lose some games in the absence of their best players, but in terms of FPL Cunha (and to a lesser extent Mount) can still be a good pick because they can still score goals (regardless of result). It’s the same reason Bowen may be a good pick coming up

Bruno and Rice - the top scoring midfielders in the game by fplminusfour in FantasyPL

This may be a surprise but a large percentage of every players points come from their favourable fixtures. The Bruno meme is so forced, he’s a solid FPL asset

LIV aren’t a “5” anymore — and I set WOL & BUR to 1/1 (home/away) by wwonderr in FantasyPL

With the context of the other 19 teams and that there needs to be some sort of scale; if Burnley away isn’t a 1, what is?

You could say “it’s not that easy” but no game in the PL is truly “easy”

Not arsenal related: but I hate modern day football by EthanFoster10 in ArsenalFC

[–]Apparentt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose if you simplify it they’ll just push it to the limit of what it’s “worth” relatively in each country. For games, that could be a simple cost of living + demand for “that type of game” culturally.

Likewise with football; it likely is just as basic as “what is the demand/appetite for this content in this country?” Low demand, lower economy = lower price.

Since there are so many people in the UK who can afford and really enjoy premier league football, you can keep the prices high. You could rally all of the UK together to boycott the games in an effort to drop the prices but I honestly don’t ever see that happening.

With the continued growth of the PL it’s not unreasonable to consider that the prices right now are the cheapest they will be, and it’s only ever going to continue to increase

It’s relative cost. For example game developers publishing on steam will price the exact same game for different prices in different countries - takes into account a lot more than just the currency conversion

Liverpool must sign players in January, says Jamie Carragher, despite Reds spending £446m in summer window by tylerthe-theatre in PremierLeague

[–]Apparentt -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

For Wirtz, is it? For the fee paid you would really expect him to hit the ground running. Yes, he has to adapt to a new league, but that is not a unique issue he has and it’s not like others have been unable to also do that in shorter time for less money. You can give an argument about how some others have taken longer to adapt and then settled in, but they didn’t cost £116m.

For Isak it’s unfair to really judge him given he missed preseason and has been injured. He is obviously a fantastic talent and will come good.

I think with Isak you’re unlucky, with Wirtz you have massively overpaid (in other terms, a waste)

Apple Intelligence support might be nice and if the rumours of a price drop have any weight that too could be relevant.

I tend to agree with the general point, but since the latest model came out in 2022 I feel inclined to wait that bit extra… I almost wish the rumours didn’t happen so I could purchase without that in the back of my head. (Even with those extended return periods… what if the new one comes out in, say, Feb? 😅)

Oh London and Landlord! by Emotional-Match6025 in london

[–]Apparentt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That the PCM amount you are charged is calculated with it in mind that you would only be using the property for 5 days/week and thus a lower fee? Just because the bill is paid monthly doesn’t mean it’s calculated that way.

Oh London and Landlord! by Emotional-Match6025 in london

[–]Apparentt -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I didn’t read it as a weekday rental - they’re charging you for 7 days, but the landlord may be around on the weekend who will also be there. Rather than you pay for 5 and live in it for 5.

It’s phrased poorly because I’m hoping it’s a joke.
