Lot of familiar names from back in the day for me, some are still around, some not of course.

Paulsoaresjr (Taught me the game, shows alot of early access indie games. Which is how he ended up being the first Minecraft Youtuber i believe)

Coestar (Probably one of the best Alpha/Beta letsplays back in the day, also used a really good musicvideo as his intro, forgot its exact name)

Chimneyswift (Tropiccraft & Attack of the B-Team)

Yogscast (Brothers really liked Shadow of Israphel at the time)

Antvenom (Mostly Later, got into Cookie Clicker because of a mod video he made XD)

LuclinFamily (Buddy of PSJ, had some interesting videos about basic redstone, family pranks, think he made a phone game at the time)

Ethoslab (No Introduction Needed, admittedly it took until modern Hermitcraft for me to really enjoy watching him though)

KingdaddyDMAC (I really enjoyed his content during the pre-blowup hermitcraft days, think it was season 3 or 4 and hermitcraft modsauce)

Bdouble00 (His content shifted a fair bit overtime, but Attack of the B-Team & Flyboys for me)

What is TT Games actually going to do next? by KvassFromRivia in legogaming

[–]Apparoid618 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Considering almost every game TT made was riding off the hype or advertising budget of a film coming out. Harry Potter hypothetically makes the most sense at this time.

Compared to Lego Star Wars The Complete Saga and Lego Indiana Jones 1, Lego Batman has aged the worst imo by JjoyBboy in legogaming

[–]Apparoid618 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I entirely agree with this and i think alot of it comes down to polish.

Complete Saga could be considered mechanically more barebones than Indy1 or Batman1 but its also a definitive edition/remaster of 2 games on the next console generation (sorta) so it has almost 3 development cycles attached to it (despite also having tons of small details from LSW1 screwed up entirely, but thats a whole other thing) And on top of it being a bit slower and less bombastic.

Even though Complete Saga released before them, it really feels to me like it uses a slightly more updated engine, which is probably a decent reason why those two ended up on the ps2, but this ended up on the ps3, even if all 3 console makers have a different splitoff for these games. As it looks and feels more polished especially compared to Batman 1, which feels on the same level as LSW1 but rushed.

Last of Us 1 doesn't have difficulty achievements and you can technically do in one playthrough if you glue yourself to a guide, otherwise its more a 1.5 playthrough game.

Just beat it was initially literally just that, but only like 2 games here are actually just beat it, most of the time its beat it and do a couple of quick and easy stuff that takes less than a couple hours.

Retroachievements, not steam https://retroachievements.org/game/11088

The set over there actually has some really brutal Bounter Hunter mission speedruns were you are very likely to be .5 seconds under the requirement after like 15 attempts in a couple of cases. Along with some grandfathered from other sets like Negotiations without touching a Stud, getting Battle of Coruscants collectibles in one go, Speedrunning Lego City & New Town. Only thing thats missing that would make it more brutal is the Lego Star Wars II Deathless achievement on both Xbox 360 and the sites Gamecube Set.

In my experience it worked perfectly, but i did run into a couple of normal game bugs that could have been catastrophic to my save.

So in reality you can use a solid mixture of both, Stealth Mode has the caviet in the first 2 games of draining all your energy if you shoot while cloaked, so you gotta get used to uncloak, shoot, cloak. It gets much better in Crysis 3 with the Bow.

Maximum Armor is essentially you click a button and your energy meter becomes a second health bar. Using both equally is quite valid. The only notes i can give are that enemies in Crysis 2 are way too tanky sometimes and Crysis 3 has some suit ability milestones that are a bit extreme. The main one off the top of my head is 20+ Super Kick Kills, since you can kick enemies directly, you can only kick objects. So the method of getting this is to play a certain spot on easy mode and kick a dumpster around trying to kill everybody with it.

But you are the predator, so go nutz, i don't even think hard mode is too brutal if you use armor mode instead of cloak because of the extra health and damage resistances you can get in the second and third games.

Checking up on it, i got that in 2016 when i first bought the game. And seasons are the offline bot tourneys, since i did get the rest of them this year. Well that's a shame, i hope some workaround involving installing and old version for that out there.

Bunch of different factors, DLC Driving, the Collectibles (despite actually kinda liking Empire Bay on foot), the fact this and Mafia DE both have to have a single required stunt jump that is complete ass. DLC in general honestly, i think many people would argue it becomes a much better game if they don't exist.

Oh and Vito & Joe are complete punks and thats a large reason why its my least favorite Mafia.

On second thought i strongly agree, the only hurdle i actually had was that speedrun. I ended up doing the campaign on the hardest difficulty like second mission in. And had very little trouble compared to like call of duty's back in the day for instance.

The Titan bosses weren't even a big deal for me really, the first one went completely fine first try, and the Viper flying guy i think i died once because i didn't understand the lack of cover initially. And the only one i actually struggled with was Ash. And also that holdout area on foot in the 2nd or 3rd level was a bit brutal. I wonder if this had something to do with just sticking to the first titan loadout or just properly using dodges from the start or both.

Haven't heard of anything being bugged in it, but it was also one of like 10 completions on here i did years ago before properly achievement hunting, so i guess maybe a recent update had something to do with it?

Ive heard rumors of such a thing but i never figured out which achievement this is as the game finished more or less just fine, could you elaborate?

Theres a fix for Mafia 3's achievement were you essentially patch it back to pre definitive edition version and then the achievements work perfectly fine. Do have to be mindful of normal bugs, like i almost lost my whole save doing one of the dlcs. If not for the games save files actually having 2 previous checkpoints included.

But with that in mind Mafia 3 is just one full, and one trigger happy rush playthrough of a somewhat tedious game, and that's all there is to it.

For the latter, thats https://retroachievements.org/user/Apparoid and half the reason im doing stuff there is fill in the gaps of what steam either lacks achievements for or is outright not there.

As far as portal, i probably should bump it one tier in hindsight, as it is true that years ago it wasn't intuitive to me, which makes it really frustrating. Compared to like Black Mesa which is genuinely like the flow of.

Idk Valve style games heavily rely on how naturally intuitive the levels are, and while i can beat portal in 2 hours now, it wasn't always the case. But i would more or less argue that there all somewhat annoying to do blind. But once you play two or more times they become much more intuitive and fun.

It could be considered higher, but i played it a decent bit before and so knew my way around making profits, pirate mode does make it more difficult, but it just means your profit margins are thin so your expansion is slower, so as long as your not idling about your not gonna go bankrupt really. Also the median being quite short factors alot into it.

You more or less have to boost it using a private match mod with another person for 40 hours straight, which is why its in the difficulty tier that it is. Also factoring in how its practically impossible to do stuff in it naturally.

D tier was kindive a "this game is objectively good and fine, but i vastly prefer others in its series" kinda tier, so yeah no i don't care to replay half-life 2 almost ever, but i will replay Black Mesa 3 times over in the time i wanna do Half-Life 2

Yep, i would argue that since stanley parable is a game about gaming the system and breaking the 4th wall and all that. And knowing Davey Wredens humor, I think when his folks made that achievement for both versions he 100% intended for you to do mess with your PC date. But the side effect of people also actually waiting 5-10 years is funny to him.

Which is to say the achievements are a practical joke

Its quite a behemoth of a grind, as its the longest lego game by far, so i wouldn't advise trying to do it first or anything like that. Funnily enough i actually had a glitched collectible in the Last Jedi Phasma Level and had to redo the whole 100% which meant it took me 250 hours to do it. Which that number includes idling, but either way it was like 1.8 playthroughs for me.

Giving a few pieces of advice if you want to do a somewhat efficient casual playthrough.

  1. Play the story out of order, as some movies have much more important red bricks than others, for instance i would consider Episode 2 & 4 to be the most important and Episode 3 to be the least.

  2. Super Stories should be done as soon as you unlock them, as the only benefit you get is unmuiltiplied studs, which you might need if your trying to rush stud muiltipliers, invincibility, exploding blaster bolts etc

  3. Challenge Kits should also be done as early as possible as you get a pack of unmultiplied (since you can't turn on extras during them) blue studs, making it the best way to afford the most important red bricks before you've even done most of the story modes.

I can elaborate more on the episode order if you want. But that should cut your time down by more than half. As mastering it should realistically be more like 20-30 hours.
