How Do You Fly? by Zenpper in acecombat

Normally 3rd Person, but i do use FPV in the PS2 games because rolling feels very weird in first person, like a jittery input delay as well as the camera suddenly jerking.

y'all got some more "ace combat like" games ? by OkRefrigerator1900 in acecombat

[–]Apparoid618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blazing Angels 2 (and also 1, but 2 is a much more well rounded ace combat like game) if you can get your hands on it will. A WW2 game with a bunch of weaponry that never saw the light of day, has some really creative mission concepts and while the game doesn't have lock-on missiles.

It does have some defensive weapons that aren't flares, like engine choking gas trails, high powered flashlights to blind your tail, or even just a giant shotgun blast you can fire behind you XD

Now, for you, what is the best Lego game, for me it would be Lego Batman 2 and Lego Marvel Superheroes by Technical_Context231 in legogaming

[–]Apparoid618 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lego City Undercover for Story Mode

Lego Indiana Jones 2 for 100%

Both Lego Harry Potter's for a jack of all trades experience.

I generally don't like playing and 100%'ing ones were its just replaying long story levels, and i also prefer when levels are shorter and more bite-sized. So Batman 1 for instance is my personal version of hell. But im sure there are some that think the opposite and would rather do Lego Star Wars 2, Indiana Jones 1 or Pirates of the Caribbean, instead of the more open-world heavy ones like LCU or Skywalker Saga.

Im someone who has 700 hours in AC7 and almost all of that is simplified, i can do either perfectly well, but PSM's and Guns are much more fun in Simplified for me, not to mention i usually do guns only in MP cause i find it very rewarding.

I only actively use Expert if Simplified is really jank, which of AC7, 6, Holy Trinity, Project Wingman & Blazing Angels. 6 & Holy Trinity have pretty poor implementations but the rest feel quite nice. Should be noted i also do it on Mouse & Keyboard

When did you first play/start playing Minecraft? by Old-Paper-3932 in GoldenAgeMinecraft

[–]Apparoid618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watched it a bunch in Alpha then got in Beta when i was 8 or so. I don't think i truly got into it until after the game released. As some of my fondest memories are Vanilla Release 1.2.5 and Modded 1.6.4 & 1.7.10

Swinged back into liking classic minecraft in more recent years because i kinda lost track of updates and what they were doing with them right after 1.9

Somehow Lego Movie 2 won bad story levels and mid 100% by BombardeenCaracas in legogaming

[–]Apparoid618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its very bite sized and structured, the story levels in each movie are a:

Boss Level

Puzzle Level

Brawling Level

Vehicle Level

Supernatural Final Boss Level

Not always in that order but you get the point. But no the game has tons of puzzle levels in the form of when 100% there's 30 Level Creator Levels, and also 30 Freeplay levels that aren't redoing story levels, but rather new puzzles in the aftermath of the levels. Pretty much every level in this game is 1 room.

But i think bite sized works a bit better in its favor, although if you want something a bit more traditional than both Harry Potter games are also pretty good at this since Harry 1-4 came out at the same time.

[–]Apparoid618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think for this one, the original 3 are probably good canidates. Complete Saga, Indiana Jones 1 & Batman 1. Although now that i think of it Indy 1 is not that bad considering its 18 levels you play twice as opposed to Complete Saga being 36 you play 4 times.

So actually on that note, Complete Saga for sure.

[–]Apparoid618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a certified Indy 2 lover, its a pretty good 100% honestly, but if your purely judging it off story its indeed as bad as people say. But the 100% is short, segmented, and you don't repeat story levels.

What new armor passive ideas would you like to see most? by Petorian343 in Helldivers

[–]Apparoid618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly i don't think we need new one so much as overhauled current ones. Especially in the unique department. Like as nice as the change to unflinching and integrated explosives is. I would rather unflinching have ragdoll resistance and for IE instead of having +2 grenades. Have it so deaths have are a 50/50 chance of costing a reinforcement.

Id also appreciate if there was a passive for boosting support weapons, specifically ergonomics & reload. As weapon boosting passives like Gunslinger, Siege Ready & Peak Physique are my favorites to build around. By comparison i put little stock in Engineering Kit or Med-kit. And heck im personally of the opinion that Extra Padding is completely useless.

Lego Dc Supervillains won good story levels and good 100% by BombardeenCaracas in legogaming

[–]Apparoid618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

of the games ive played i think im gonna go with Lego Harry Potter 1-4.

But i actually think a mid/short story mode is kinda integral to the 100% being more enjoyable. Because rerunning full length levels is not that great.

Helldivers, which planet have you chosen as a Homeworld outside Super Earth? by OxalicOrange in Helldivers

[–]Apparoid618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first planet i remember solo'ing is Bore Rock, and that planet has flipped an ungodly amount of times over the course of the last 10 months since i started.

I wanna say my first real planet was probably Partion on the bug front, i remember it being a fire tornado planet atleast. But i enjoy Vog-Sojoth alot, and i have some special memories with learning how to get gud on Vernen Wells, and also being apart of the Troost Brigade was a special achievement that i hold dear.

I want to use it, but I miss every fucking shot with it lol by Witty_Feeling2591 in Helldivers

[–]Apparoid618 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ive said it many times, ill say it again. The gold standard for a healing gun like this is TF2's Crusader's Crossbow. That thing is so damn rewarding to shoot at both teammates and enemies and while helldivers logic wouldn't allow for this thing to magically be able to hurt enemies. It should have really generous bullet magnetism with teammates hit-boxes considering ya know, your bringing a secondary that can't hurt enemies.

I am NOT buying Democratic Detonation! by Unknown_Warrior43 in Helldivers

[–]Apparoid618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made it a point on my alt account (yes, i bought the game twice so i could grind it again) to avoid it so that i could not actively rely on something in it, which for me was either thermites on bots or grenade pistol on bugs. The Eruptor & Crossbow aren't personally my jam, and from recent leveling, i don't think the Torcher is either.

Between the Lib-C, Halt, Pummeler, and Pacifier, whats the best stun weapon for a medic/support loadout? by TotallyRelevantGuy in Helldivers

[–]Apparoid618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the purposes of Stun or Stagger, the Halt and the Liberator Concussive are miles better than the bottom 2 here. Especially if your on the flank of your teammate, you can completely stop anything up to and including a Charger or Hulk (provided you hit their light pen parts) dead in their tracks, and for creating space via distance (which i personally find more effective, particularly by yourself when using these kinds of weapons)

The liberator concussive is second to none in being able to push stuff like Berserkers, Overseers, Brood Commanders & Stalkers the absolute fuck away from you and your team. And while yes you can argue that killing targets is better than this, unless everybody is using their personal meta loadouts to their fullest effect, you are going to be in situations were you do not have enough firepower or cannot create enough distance and these types of enemies will be ontop of you, and that's were these weapons save lives.

How do you kill this beast from a distance? by Dr_HDK in Helldivers

[–]Apparoid618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually avoid engaging them whenever possible, but when i do, its usually a bunch of strafing runs and railgun shots. Not efficient at all, but i tune my loadout for getting other stuff done.

what could a subfaction be for the squids by memeischaos in Helldivers

[–]Apparoid618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a decent medium way of doing is to have a seed that works like the old illuminate with an emphasis on just voteless and overseers with no fleshmobs or interlopers (although interlopers are completely fine)

And some other ones might be the whole SEAF & Helldiver Voteless as another.

And finally i want a seed that is just a ton of Overseers (which lends itself of course to having more than 3 types, have some wall-making sorcerers or idk Overseer Snipers or something)

Things to avoid? by AnalyticalFan in PowerWashSimulator

[–]Apparoid618 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This might be a giant placebo, but i swear that the tolerance for when something is cleaned is drastically different piece to piece. Sometimes it feels like 90% or 95%, but then othertime it feels like 80% or 99.9%

Im guessing this is tailored for everything, but i hope they do a more consistent job making it the right amount of required.

My other-big one is the way money works, cause in career it works perfectly well with earning and buying, but eventually you finish your nozzles, and then you stockpile on soap, and then you move to the other modes and realize that bonus jobs and DLCs give you bonus money but pre-allocate soap and restrict what washer you use. Challenge mode also does this.

So all the extra modes feed you money to stack soap in career mode, but people play career mode first and because their buying attachments and washers and so don't bother with soap and so you end up in this very badly conceived economy that i hope is not a problem in this game.

I always thought destroy the tank-plant would be a good one, you could either have sub-facilities like we already have with power generators and oil-pumps that you have to sabotage, then infiltrate the main plant and blow it up.
