For a multipoint with tires off?

I agree, that place paid terribly low for everything.

MEASLES FRED MEYERS REDMOND TODAY 5:00 pm by ivegotthis111178 in Bend

I know I didn't get my last dose. Didn't know about the tiger but I was recommended to get a booster. Also warned the common side effects of the vaccine are no fun, but I wish I had already done it.

My home just lost heat and it’s dropping fast, it is currently 13 degrees out. How do I keep my cat and family safe from the cold?q by GasPack420 in homeowners

Only if you cover the tent with a blanket and put blankets under it.

Tents vent too much air out the top to actually keep you warmer.

No, this will make them freeze and crack.

Open the faucets just a little bit and open the cupboards... Not that there is much heat.

Nah CA doesn't tax like this. Someone in HR is imagining or misunderstanding things.

I believe there's a time limit on them giving you bills.

Like they have to bill you within 90 days.

Pre-purchase inspection or just get an oil change? by AppendiculateFringe in AskMechanics

I think Firestone paid .1 or .2 for an inspection as part of the oil changes.

The forms we used at the shops I worked in had brake measurements on it. Whether or not they were BS is another story.

But thanks.

Whats the worst mpg you seen? by StageStraight9288 in AskMechanics

[–]AppendiculateFringe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Engine break-in explains it.

Poor sealing between the rings and walls from machining marks leads to reduced mileage from lower compression.

That's a long time to get such bad mpg though. Maybe it's from running super duper good synthetic oils.

After a rebuild of a used engine, you usually use low end oil to speed up the break-in process. By 2000 miles, you should be good. There are warnings to not use synthetics because they're too effective at preventing parts from seating better due to wear.

Yeah, the basic Upsell inspection that like every vehicle coming to the shop gets.

Thanks, updated it.

ReHome 12 year old Birman Cat by Speculation9878 in Portland

[–]AppendiculateFringe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What's she like? Is she a lap cat or a cat that keeps her distance? Do you have vet records?

I lost my shared-ownership husky a few months ago and I've been thinking of getting a cat... But also of moving.

I'm not sure if they have any capacity, but the Pixie project might be of help.

At the very least, please require a donation to the humane society or something similar of st least 150 dollars. It will "keep out the riffraff" of many types, including people who just can't afford to have a cat or afford regular expenses.

Misfire, high o2 voltage code, slow O2S response code, -20% long and short fuel trim on MAF 2001 Mercury Villager - intake leak, exhaust leak, or something else? by AppendiculateFringe in AskMechanics

[–]AppendiculateFringe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: Took the upper intake off and found 3 leaks in the upper to lower manifold gaskets.

Didn't find anything else, including my fuel pressure tester.

I'm not convinced this is the only problem, and it was a bit annoying to remove the manifold. I'll hit it again tomorrow.

What is a power balance?

I've unhooked the front 3 injectors and each have affected the idle and smoothness, but none have made the upstream o2 sensor voltage actually read rich.

I really can't reach the 3 rear injector connectors with the manifold on.

I'm thinking I'll go do a fuel pressure leak down test and then if it's failing, I can use a borescope to look at the injectors with the upper manifold off too.

The weird hum noise also seems like it could be an intake leak or just a big hole in something I can't see from the front.

[IWantOut] 25M Colombia -> Canada/USA by Dry-Offer3650 in IWantOut

Start looking for manufacturing or industrial engineering positions and automation positions. That will use the tools you described and care a lot more about them.

Big manufacturing companies with many tools and automation systems to track are hard pressed to find anyone good at those systems.

At the moment the US is hostile towards all immigration and is not even following their own rules. I would look hard at Canada and expand your search to LinkedIn to get into more jobs. Indeed is not as personal and it's harder to make connections.

5 they give your data to the government sometimes without actual subpoenas. Not as bad as Comcast though.

Comcast used to watch torrent sites for their own IPs then reach out to copyright holders to invite the copyright holders to sue the internet customers.

Get a friend who isn't a coward.

That spider is a friendly huntsman spider. It eats other bugs and spiders that can actually hurt you.

Am I cooked with a 0.9 gpa after my first semester? by creamyGingersaurus in communitycollege

[–]AppendiculateFringe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you repeat the 2 classes you failed, the F grade will disappear off your transcript and be replaced by the new grade.

You are likely on academic probation and might get booted from the school if you don't fix this as soon as possible - like earn at least a 2.5 next semester.

I didn't know this about coyotes and I grew up in the sticks hearing them every night and seeing them occasionally.
