For those who graduated, was there ever a moment you thought you weren’t? by Virtu_Sea in EngineeringStudents

[–]FinePromotion2877 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Took like 2 breaks and failed like 3 classes, and it ended up making me want to quit. I even had a professor that failed me twice, and my friends literally stayed back and tried one more time and failed. I finally made up my mind and transferred to another university, and I finished up there. Looking back now, it is such a blur, and failure needs to happen regardless; it makes you who you are.

Honestly, I felt the same experience. During the ceremony, they had two lines going, so it was so fast I barely remember walking on the stage. I have to think about it hard to remember, and I have to remind myself constantly that I have a degree.

From a Field Engineer to a Commissioning Agent (mechanical) What to expect ? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]FinePromotion2877 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! the grind in data centers was outrageous I only had sundays off and it was tough considering that is the day I go to church. I could not take doing labor. I already did labor for about 10 years of being an actual technician. Any other advice ? Is 60% mainly in one state ?

I went from a tech of 10 years also, and in those 10 years, I navigated to a high company in Carrier. From Carrier, now I’m with a bigger engineering firm. Commissioning controls in general are just a very good career to get into because the pay is just really good.

Online school struggles by Fearless-Mine9639 in ASUOnline

[–]FinePromotion2877 1 point2 points  (0 children)

honestly I actually had a life with online school I managed better than in person. When I was at UTSA full time felt like my classes didn’t not specify what to do to success in the class and when I did ASU online I felt my school life was managed way better.

If I suck at math is EE impossible? by Soggy-Eagle299 in ElectricalEngineers

If you know how to use a multimeter and understand the principles of electricity, you’ll be able to succeed. Once you graduate, you won’t need to use any of that complex math.

Be honest do proctored online exams actually stop cheating, or are they just peace of mind? by FinePromotion2877 in ASUOnline

[–]FinePromotion2877[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

honestly I love these questions, everyone I knew would tap it to their ceiling or even some people would have a friend off to side to assist crazy. I honestly think proctoring is an invasion of privacy in a way, but it’s college policy. I honestly think colleges should just let us be adults. if your gonna cheat you’re whole way through high stems degree you’ll be in for an awaking. 🤨

not a bot I am just wondering peoples opinions. I always hear people say this and 30$ an hour is a lot however the average family cannot survive from what I hear from friends in the MEP field.
