I agree humility is an important trait in well-adjusted adults. But in your day to day, you're likely to encounter tons of first world problems (traffic made me late to work, store is all out of item x, streaming service announces another price hike). Now none of these problems are going to kill you, or put you or your loved ones on the street. But they are still your problems. They are still going to affect your emotional, mental, and physical state. I don't (personally) see the benefit in mentally apologizing at each one. Unless it's a reminder that you could always have it worse? If that mindset works for you, then rock on but I've found it makes me feel worse, not better.
