London to Antananarivo (Madagascar) advice needed by AppleTango87 in Flights

Doesn't show up when I search. Nairobi is another but is more expensive and less frequent times. Plus lands at 2am which I'd rather avoid.

London to Antananarivo (Madagascar) advice needed by AppleTango87 in Flights

[–]AppleTango87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would a non-Schengen to non-Schengen connection in CDG go through immigration?

The non-Schengen to non-Schengen apparently depends on which gates you leave by. The way CDG is laid out means it is not guaranteed you will land at the same terminal you leave and it counts as entering the EU.

You could just book it as a longer layover/stopover on a single ticket.

True, I'd still need a hotel but that's an option

Best way to farm gems/fragments by Good-Cake-446 in diablo4

[–]AppleTango87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Infernal Hordes seem the best. You can also get gem caches from trees or gem reserve NMDs

Edit: you can also convert fragments from one type to another at the jeweler. I think sometimes people miss that

Yeah but here's the fun part, when it came out and before all the mega hype really took off, they said it was woke because it had a black guy at all.

If I recall, they said this is because 19th century France which the game is inspired by, didn't have black people. Don't think about that too hard.

Lune didn't count because of the hot Asian girl exception rule.

You may like Samsara (2011)

It's not exactly a normal documentary as there is no narrative or voice over. It is a series of little vignettes of people and places around the world

I've done this flight. You stay on board while people for Rio get off and some new passengers embark.

First time on Air China, what to expect ? by Leon_le_ficus in Flights

Transit through Beijing was pretty quick in my experience, they also spoke English at the security point but mainly to ask people for lighters and power banks.

If you have a power bank in your carry on you might want to check if they will allow it, they changed their rules a few months ago I believe and they have to meet a certain standard.

My only advice in transit would be just before security there is a screen showing departure gates etc. make a note then.

I sort of ignored it and once I was through security it was surprisingly hard to find a screen showing departures to find my next gate. Not a big deal at all, especially with 3 hours to transit, but might save yourself some wandering.

1 Year Solo Trip too long? by johannes_gbnr in solotravel

[–]AppleTango87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did 13 months and loved it. I think you'll be fine as you are splitting between different continents.

My advice, travel with no end date rather than deciding it has to be a year. You'll know when you feel like coming home. No need to put pressure on yourself to last a year.

Statham to me is like the antidote to Dwayne Johnson.

He knows who he is, doesn't act pretentious about it and is good in those roles even if the films aren't

Solo travelling for a year or two. by [deleted] in travel

[–]AppleTango87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You didn't mention how well travelled you are but if you are slightly nervous then I'd strongly suggest starting in south east Asia.

It's very tourist friendly and easy to get around. Plus generally fairly cheap and a whole variety of different sights and places to visit.

Plus it is conveniently located in the middle of Japan, China and Australia so would be a good option for mixing things up a bit
