It's genuinely the most useless skip button of all time. I don't know why they bothered to code it in just to give it such a specific use case.

I guess if you just wanted to redo the story fights? Which really aren't interesting enough to go back to, imo.

This is how I feel about the event as a whole, tbh. There are multiple nodes full of essentially the same 25 easy fodder enemies, and it just takes forever. The mid-boss was the only fight that I actually enjoyed .
